been some really interesting whakaaro over on tt so bringing the kōrero over to here. what’s your definition of ‘Far North’? there’s been lots of debate going on and heaps of varying opinions. for me it’s Hokianga up… ⬆️ I’m sorry but anywhere from Whangarei down is a big no ❌ from me… someone even said Brynderwyns 😂😂 mate you just barely left Auckland…

what’s your guys thoughts and even definition of FFN 😂

The race is just the reason we showed up. The people is why we keep coming back. 🤍

Run The Forest® half marathon, twenty one kilometres through the geothermal trails & whakarewarewa forest here in beautiful Rotorua. Proud to have been an ambassador for this event even though my training didn’t go to plan 🫣.. But nothing could have prepared me for just how special the community of people at this event truly is.

To Jess and the whole Run the Forest team, the event staff, volunteers, sponsors and partners, thank you for creating something that feels so much bigger than a race.

Tell me in the comments, why do you love running? 🏃‍♀️

i never had my own bedroom until i was thirteen, so doing this for our big girl at two years old means everything to me. 💗

this has been a beautiful first project for our whānau. a happy occasion, but also bittersweet knowing our girl is growing up and entering her next stage of childhood.

i’ve loved bringing our vision to life with Mocka.. these pieces will last her for so long and will be alongside her on all her upcoming adventures.

she hasn’t seen the final product yet. stay tuned for the reveal 🫶🏽

i made over $5k in content creation this month. paid work and gifted product combined. 💸

my time is precious. every hour i spend on this is time away from hubby and our girl, so i’m making sure every day counts and actually moves us forward.

$2,386.25 came from 7 paid videos across 4 brand partnerships. it doesn’t happen from one lucky deal, it’s built pay by pay, video by video and this is the result of being consistent.

on top of that, $2,591.44 in gifted product. an experience, a full furniture set, a few other bits. gifted isn’t the same as cash in the bank, but it’s still real value.

if you want to start earning through content, here’s what’s worked for me. have a selection of videos on your profile or a free canva website page so brands can see your work. reach out to brands that align with your values, the worst they can say is no. and track everything, paid and gifted, so you know your real value.

this didn’t happen overnight. would you want more content like this? tell me below 👇

we spent $4,945.69 on our last holiday and still came in under our $5,000 budget. here’s exactly how we did it. 💸

these aren’t tips we read somewhere, they’re what we actually did on our last trip and what actually saved us money.

booking flights 6 months out with Air New Zealand ✈️. planning activities in advance so we could use ShopBack New Zealand. choosing accommodation with a kitchen so we weren’t eating out every meal. hiring a car instead of relying on ubers for every trip. and setting a spending cap for each category before we even left home.

none of it is complicated. it’s just being intentional before you go.

which of these do you already do? tell me below 👇

we just got back from queenstown and i tracked every single cent. 🏔️

3 of us. 6 nights. $4,945.69 total.

our budget was $5k and we came in just under. we saved for this over the last couple of months and it felt really good to pay for it without any stress.

the full breakdown is in the slides but the one that always surprises people is the pre-trip prep. $902.91 before we even left home. lashes, nails, new outfits, getting ready 🛍️. most people don’t count this as part of the trip cost. i do. it all adds up and it’s all part of going away.

biggest single expense was accommodation at $1,774.30 for 6 nights. worth every cent for a comfortable base with our pēpi.

food and drink came to just over $1k but buying groceries and meal prepping some dinners saved us heaps compared to eating out every single night.

the goal was never to not spend money. it was to spend it intentionally on things that matter to us and our whānau. this trip was one of those things. 🤍 and tbh quality time with our girl and making memories…. PRICELESS!!!
