2026 NZ Indoor Off-Road Nationals done and dusted.

A massive weekend of racing up in Hamilton with the Hamilton Radio Control Car Club.

Five cars across five classes definitely kept me busy all weekend. The Hamilton carpet was a completely different surface to what we race on back home in Christchurch, so there was plenty of learning, setup changes and late nights on the tools trying to get the cars where I wanted them.

Final results:

2WD Mod Buggy – 16th
4WD Mod Buggy – 17th
2WD Mod Stadium Truck - cancelled

2WD Stock Buggy – 24th
4WD Stock Buggy – 23rd

Pretty happy to come away 23rd and 24th in two completely full 60-car Stock fields. The Mod classes were bloody tough, especially giving away a fair bit of horsepower, but I learnt a lot throughout the weekend and the cars just kept getting better.

A huge thanks to Hamilton Radio Control Car Club and NZRCA - New Zealand Radio Car Association for putting on the event. The amount of work that goes into running a Nationals like this doesn’t go unnoticed.

Also a massive thanks to Schumacher R/C Racing for the continued support. Really proud to be representing Schumacher at a NZ Nationals and it was great having other Schumacher drivers around the pits sharing setup advice and helping get the cars faster as the weekend went on.

Plenty learnt, plenty of notes taken and already looking forward to the next one.

Korgae Scales has been a great team driver for us in Canada and a great help both on and off the track with many people.
He is now not just a team driver for Schumacher Racing, but also the Canadian Team Manager helping to support Muz as Schumacher continue to grow in Canada.

He is a respected leader and mentor within the competitive RC racing community, known for his passion for racing, team development and dedication to growing the sport.
Korgae has played a major role in strengthening Schumacher’s presence within the Canadian RC racing scene with both on road and off road.

With years of experience in the RC industry, Korgae has helped support top-level drivers, coordinate race programs and build strong relationships between racers, hobby shops and manufacturers. Schumacher continues to expand its reach across major regional and national events throughout Canada, earning podium finishes and building a reputation for professionalism, performance and teamwork.

His support, technical knowledge and passion for the hobby continue to make a lasting impact on the RC community and the future growth of Schumacher across Canada.
