You know what’s funny, this bike is being raffled off by Wind Therapy. A new initiative by .frostybeverage and myself. The idea of wind therapy is that riding motorcycles is therapeutic and that is completely true. But the funny part is that building this bike put an immense pressure on myself and my young family. Balancing a very demanding full time job and then spending most nights till around 11pm in the freezing shed. My wife spent most of her evenings alone for the last 4 months and my kiddos only saw me for about 45 min a day. The stress of getting this bike right and not letting anyone down left me feeling exhausted, anxious and deflated. Im not having a cry, just reminding you all that even good things need to be in balance, because building a bike for charity, not expecting anything in return is a good thing. But you need to make sure everything is in balance or it will suck the joy out of what you love doing. I’ll attack the next build differently (after a lot of family time)and be a better man for it. I didn’t expect to build this bike and learn a lesson on over committing and balance, but here I am. I’m very proud of this latest offering from HWM. I couldn’t have done it without my superhuman wife and the incredible team and They also surprised me with a gift this week that I will share soon.
