Just sitting on the couch, crocheting eggs, trying to find the motivation to Friday.
I don't think my work fully appreciates the level of comfort I sacrifice each day to head into the office 😅

My little copycat 😁
I love how their little brains work.
So observant.
So oblivious to all the hard mahi that goes into learning a complex skill but so keen to give it a go.
Everything you say and do, your little one is watching and will model your behavior.
Gotta make sure I am my very best for them.

I've been thinking about my creative journey recently, thinking about just what is it that I do 🤔
I figured my list of what I won't do is smaller, so I'll start there.

I won't
- create with AI (not even with my creative writing. It's all from me.)
- work with resin (I think there are some incredible things being created in this medium, but I like the thought that my stuff may not last forever.)
- take commissions 🤣 (too much pressure and an absolute inspiration killer)

That's about it.
Everything else I'm keen to have a go at.

My focus is around creating with materials that others might throw away as trash.
I want people to rethink what we throw away because we are becoming so lazy and wasteful, and the ONLY people that benefit from this mindset are the owners of the companies producing all these short-life disposable items.
So, card, paper, fabric, plastic, canvas, paint, crayons, felts, yarn, clothing...it's all good, I'll work with it all.

Ok, I'm done with today.
The two boys were home today (the small one vomited on the kai table at lunch on Tuesday; the medium one was just tired but then ended up crashing out and napping over lunch and then sporting a fever just before dinner).
Work was work.
House was messy when I got home (as it does when hubby is looking after children while trying to plaster laundry).
And then I had an SvT but not an SvT after dinner 🤔 I'm not sure what it was to be honest...the pulse in my abdomen was beating at double it's normal rate, but my pulse point in my neck felt only slightly elevated...which according to Google is impossible...so now that I've massaged it back to normal and I'm feeling drained, I'm ignoring it and going to bed.

If anyone has a freakin break going spare, I'd love to be considered for it 😉

When you run out of muesli bars so you and the eldest child make some honey ricey slice 😁 and then the family ends up eating half of the batch because it's so yummy 😋
Sooooo easy to make, and way cheaper than buying similar bars at the supermarket 🫢 and WAY less packaging!!

This guy.
Never a dull moment 😮‍💨

But I know this stage passes.
I know the constant need for my attention diminishes; his independence will continue to grow and soon he won't need my help or even want it; one day my cuddles won't be enough to make him feel better.
But for now, he does. And today my cuddles still work 😊
So not much is gonna get done tonight, I have a little boy to keep happy.
