Here’s a progress update from Ngāti Hinerangi and Ngāti Hinekiri, rangatahi giving us a behind-the-scenes look as Tāheke Ōpātia Marae in Ōkere gets its final touches ahead of welcoming everyone for the .

The kōrero, the mahi, the wairua - all coming together. We’re nearly ready! And we will be live-streaming all of the action right here on Te Arawa FM, our partners Aukaha News and the Ngāti Pikiao Ahurei YouTube channel.

On behalf of the Ngāti Pikiao Ahurei Committee, the Ngāti Pikiao Iwi Trust, and Ngāti Hinerangi-Ngāti Hinekiri, we warmly invite everyone to join us at Tāheke Ōpātia Marae, Ōkere Falls, Rotoiti for the this Saturday 20 September.

This whānau-friendly event begins with karakia at 8:00am, followed by a fun-filled day of kapa haka performances for all ages, delicious kai stalls, and activities for the whole whānau.

Come and celebrate with us - it's free and everyone is welcome!
