Papa Taina Ngarimu, nei ra to iti me to rahi e tangi tou nei mohou.
Uncle Taina was a board member of RNP for many years - providing his humble, sage-like and often humourous advice and guidance to the staff. Passionate about the reo, tikanga and culture of Ngati Porou, he loved the purpose of RNP - to connect our whanau to their reo, their culture, their stories, their history. When we ran a radiothon for C Company House, Uncle Taina joined the other darlings in this photo at the station - Aunty Kate, Uncle Noel, Uncle Api and Uncle Boycie to tautoko. How blessed we were.
Ngarangi Dewes Aurupa spent time at RNP as our receptionist and administrator. She worked quietly behind the scenes, managing the RNP office and looking after our manuhiri - the epitome of manaaki. A woman with a big heart and an infectious laugh. We have lost a loved and respected former kaimahi. She joins Beebop Aupouri and the two Solly's in heaven. Always loved. Always remembered.
