Creativity thrives with diversity of thought and the industry is need serious need of a shake up.

With a whole wave of talented young black British creatives bursting onto the scene, brands find themselves less able to hide behind the lack of diversity behind the lens.

We want more roles in the creative industry that doesn’t just lend itself to BHM, or a brands intention to play lip service to systematic barriers our community experiences trying to make it in this space.

More power to the creatives and agencies making waves. Stay tuned to see us elevate some of the initiatives coming through.

It comes with great sadness that we lost the legendary Black British filmmaker Menelik Shabazz

He was a passionate film maker, who pioneered a pathway for many aspiring Black film makers. He set up the Black Filmmaker magazine in the 90s and directed iconic films about Black British history

We remember him fondly for creating documentaries such as Blood Ah Go Run which shows the protests following the New Cross fire in 1981

Did you know? The British education system has been rigged against Black children since the 1960s!

TONIGHT AT 9PM, BBC 1 have commissioned a documentary to listen to the stories of British Caribbean people who were children in the 1960s and subjected to false theories of Black people being genetically less intelligent than White people in education. It is directed and produced by Lyttanya Shannon.

It's time to listen as these theories have infiltrated teacher training and impacts schools TO THIS DAY.
