November-early December has proved to be a nice productive time of the year when usually it’s windy and slow. This trip was no different.
I started the night mid papamoa Saturday at 9.30pm and fished there until 12.30am Sunday morning with just 1 Trev at 37cm hitting the sand.
Made the great decision to move to my low tide spot with bait hitting the water at 1.45am . Was a bit slow a first but at 3am it started to fire . Bite time lasted for 1.5 hours with 4 snapper beached .
1 @ 2.56kg , 2 @ 2-2.3kg , 1 @1.7kg
All my 3 heaviest fish had that milky flesh which was ok but no the the greatest.
Lastly I want to say if you are looking at getting a new rod , get a Tica Kazumi Pro.
I love casting it , fighting fish and how light it is . I’m very impressed with how it handles considering how light it is.
