What a bloody treat to shoot!

Weekending.

It’s been just over a month since purchasing and collecting this RS4.

In that time I’ve used many a tank of premium gasoline, put about 2,500km on the clock (I checked), cracked the windscreen, done donuts in a paddock, cooked my brake fluid, and taken many a photo.

I’ve been loving this ownership experience to bits.

Weekends are meant to be fun. Keeping the theme going from having the best summer ever, I’ve been living and photographing my weekends to the max while enjoying both the car, my 35mm and the company alike. It may be cold and wet, but that’s what heated seats and Quattro are for.

Yeah the rad., thank god for insurance, make your life a movie 🤘🏼

Can I just saw how much easier life is with a) full-frame low light capability and b) really (really) good AI subject tracking AF? Makes shooting events a breeze without having to fandangle the focus while focussing on not missing shots. Up the S5iiX. Good rig.

Cars are cool - people are cooler.

(If you want photos of cars, there’s probably a couple thousand photos curtesy of the other 18 approved media people)

You know what’s even cooler than people? Lens flares. I keep saying it, but goddamn does this vintage glass just keep on delivering! Shot the entire weekend without using any autofocus. 10/10 worth it.

Also, do yourself a favour and shoot w i d e . Most of this was on the Canon FD 20mm 2.8 and 35mm 2.0, with the rest through my Tokina 135 2.8 (but always made sure to include some foreground).
