If there’s one thing we know, it’s that Dave loves Gus the IVECO Daily the most (with the possible exception of Anna, Olive, and four whippersnappers). Dave and Gus have been touring the country together for several months now, so we thought it was time to ask – what makes Gus GREAT?

Goes great.
Steers fab.
Comfy as.
Crazy huge storage.
Fab connectivity.
Great face, difficult profile.
Awesome mirrors.
Carts it all plus the leftovers.
Side lights... 'Yeah man!’.
Adrenalin hit in a big cross-wind.
Stand up in the back!
Not that hungry.
Stopping's for losers.

💥 SOUTHLAND FAMILIES 💥
There are so many great days marked on our calendar every year, but this has to be one of our favourites!

Southland Hug a Rig Day is ready to roll for another year! It’s an amazing day run by a fantastic team of volunteers who take people of all ages with special needs or lifelong medical conditions for a ride in a big truck, classic car, hot rod, tractor, even fire engine!

If you know someone in the area who might benefit from 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗛𝘂𝗴 𝗮 𝗥𝗶𝗴, please take them along! The team go above and beyond and work with a huge range of different needs to make sure everyone gets a ride! 🛻 🚛 🚒

Anyone wanting to volunteer their time, truck, or car on the day is always appreciated – it’s a great way to give back and put smiles on faces you’ll never forget!

Contact Diane (027 773 2700) or Ian (020 433 5500).
We honestly cannot say enough about this event. We can't wait to see pictures from the day!

Happy Friday!
There's so many ways to enjoy the weekend, but we think Dave has the right idea 💡 He and the boys are back for another edition of Blokes Yarning! The best way to stay informed and on the ball, while not taking things too seriously. 🍻

The July 2025 issue of New Zealand Trucking magazine hit the shelves around the country this week, packed to the brim with the content you love!

The Freightliner Cascadia 126 from Kennedy Carriers takes the cover this month — a small, family-run operation from Oamaru where the Cascadia really comes into its own.

We also cover the Brisbane Truck Show 2025, with some great content featuring Heavy Haulage Assets snuck in as well!

The business section of the magazine has a fresh new look this month. We're super excited to have Spartan Finance Ltd on board, helping to bring you the industry content, figures, columns, and reports we know you love!

Catch all of this — and so much more — in the July issue! Available in good bookshops, supermarkets, and online. We recommend you hit the link and subscribe so that you never miss an issue!

We've seen some VERY impressive models over the years at New Zealand Trucking magazine, but we think this one is worth a special mention.
This build by Wayne Haynes has been a labour of love that's been around almost as long as we have!
In the end, the stunning model Kenworth T950 'Kausin Kaos' carries a crafted D10 dozer. We would highly recommend this read about how it was built and the man that built it. 🚛🚜
Porter Group - NZ North Island

This model build has been a labour of love for its builder on and off for the past 35 years or so. The attention to detail is absolutely spectacular. However, it is when you learn that the combination is 99% scratch built from various metals, that absolutely spectacular goes to a whole other level.
