Take the kids to the museum to look around and enjoy some fun activities🙂

The July school holidays are here, and we've got a bit going on! Drop-in craft sessions, microscope zoom-in sessions on Friday mornings, and a bookable historic downtown walking tour on Wednesday afternoons - it's all happening 👍.

Have a look at the programme to see what's happening when. And remember, we're open every day of the holidays, including Mondays, and there'll always be things to see and do in our exhibition gallery spaces - including a couple of prize-draw holiday activities (where is that golden frog hiding?....). Plus you can check out a range of low-cost nature toys and activity books in our retail area, great for the holidays 🙂.

The Roaring Forties Boat Race at Caroline Bay today was absolutely epic! Perfect weather, roaring engines, and an amazing crowd – what more could you ask for?

Huge shoutout to all the organizers, volunteers, and of course the incredible teams who made it such an exciting and fun event. Community spirit was out in full force – just awesome to see!
