From sea to table... wasabi mayo chunky crayfish!

Take one crayfish. Half it on the bbq with a heap of butter.
2 tablespoons best food mayonnaise
1 teaspoon of wasabi
Half a lemon.
Salt and pepper

Dig in an enjoy !!

Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there that sacrifice their boat snacks for the kids or miss the bite whilst waiting for their kids to pick their favourite toys, or having to help wee off the back of the boat!

However if your like me you wouldn't change it for the world as getting to share the adventures with your little people truly is the best gift as a dad!

Redemption arc! Greymouth may have bested me but put me back on home turf and we manage to deliver the goods! We made the use of a very small weather window to head out and get amongst the Southland weather before it turns!

Crays were in from 3-10m and cod fishing was slow but with a couple of nice eaters!

Kinas were nice and sweet to!

Well that's Greymouth 1 me 0! A last minute weather opportunity gave me the chance to make the most of been on annual leave and trying for a Westcoast giant!
20.5 hours return driving and 24 hours of solid fishing resulted in a few promising opportunities but nothing to solidify!

But we will be back! And more prepared! However as per usual the views and adventure was amazing! Thanks to Ross, Callum and Nigel for braving the elements and giving it our best shot!

Also a very special thanks to Matt at Marine Intel! He litteraly helped us plan the spots and the niggly parts of the trip that I wasn't familiar with so please gove him a like and his knowledge was top notch just wasn't our day!

We did get to give all the reels a workout though which is the main thing!

Hey team! We are moving house and over summer we won't have the physical shop open! We will still be able to order in and sort you great gear but just won't have a physical shop till the new year!

Yeeeoow the final tip to end the trip!! We went out with the amazing Corey from Reelaxing Fishing Charters. You know it's a good time when you can kill the quiet times with super trooper quotes! Highly enjoyed the day out and even better spending it with mum, dad and dear friend Allison. Was amazing blue water incredible scenery and then a last ditch effort to secure some great eating fish!!

Topped off we saw 8 whales!! Can't thank Corey enough for his top banter and professionalism!
