We’ve had a lot of people say lately, “You guys look like you’ve been flat out!” And yep, we have been. But it’s not come easy.

We’ve had our heads down kicking off the year, diving into projects we’re so proud of. But truth is, behind the momentum is a lot of mahi that most people don’t see. And we think it’s important to share this stuff.

Behind every video, polished client shoot, and perfectly framed testimonial is a LOT you don’t see.

Late nights. Early starts. Two creatives (who also happen to be married) trying to balance deadlines, school & daycare pickups, a million edits, and making sure we don’t lose each other in the process.

We feel the self-doubt.
We get the imposter syndrome.
We hustle hard to keep the lights on and the creativity flowing.

But we’re also wildly grateful. Because this work is what lights us up the most.

Telling the stories of other small Wellington businesses is literal inspo. Helping people show up with heart on camera fills us up.

Turning “just an idea” into something with real impact, creates more sparks and drives us forward.

So if you’ve ever booked us, cheered us on, shared our work, or simply believed in what we’re building, Thank You. From our whānau to yours. We see you. And we appreciate the heck out of you.

This work is not for the faint of heart, and we know so many of you get that. But even with all that being said, believe us, we’re just getting started.

BTS shooting for the last couple of months in the studio and onsite .build.up.there 🎥

Emmet’s had a lot of fun capturing some epic content for Josh who is working on some next level homes in Upper Hutt. Josh is also working with BCITO to create content as part of a mission to help the next generation of builders level up their skills.

It’s always awesome to be part of projects that teach, inspire, and show how it’s done in the best kind of way. Especially in industries where hands-on learning makes all the difference. There is nothing quite like video to convey this stuff.

Loving the diversity of work we get to be involved in, from shooting in beauty studios, to building sites and everything inbetween! Having the chance to help passionate Wellingtonians share what they know, and share that with others is 🔥 Keep the good mahi coming! Our Story

Riddle Photo & Film is owned and operated by Emmet Riddle who has a passion and an eye for photo and film. Emmet moved to Wellington in 2012, where he completed a Certificate in the Introduction to Film and Television Production through Whitireia Film and Television School in 2013. This one-year course programme covers training in directing, writing, editing, camera, lighting, sound, Art Dept and production management among other specialties. Emmet completed a number of projects throughout the year, as well as writing the script for one of the two Grad Films that the crew made. Emmet was commended for his talents in several areas of the programme. In 2014 Emmet worked at WingNut Films as part of the research team dedicated to the development Sir Peter Jackson's Great War Exhibition. Emmet is now focussing his talents and passions on building his photography and videography portfolio by providing his services on a part-time basis across social, corporate and sporting events in and around the Wellington region. Emmet is a gifted and personable professional who is easy to work with and holds your event requirements in the utmost importance.
