Fitzroy Motorsport BURNOUTS / SPEEDWAY / MOTORSPORT Promotion Just you average car guy, been around the scene since a young age. It was time to get back in the game!

I took a few years off to focus on work and family.

2017 and the New Zealand Burnout Champs was established. Its been non stop since, traveling to events all over New Zealand. In 2020 we took NUTOUT to Summernats 33 in Australia and had a ball! However we are much more than just burnouts! We want to promote and be part of all forms of Motorsport Events, Drifting, Burnouts, Drag Racing and we love

doing car shows! We have since turned Fitzroy Motorsport into a brand, we have created video media, merchandise, event promotion, and we have even created a party bus. Fitzroy Motorsport is based around our 3 killer cars

I always get asked what my favourite skid spot is… and while I love laying rubber anywhere in NZ, Muscle Car Madness - The Show sits right at the top of the list!

Smallest pad… biggest crowd… and the craziest atmosphere you’ll ever experience. Most of the people packed in to watch aren’t even your typical burnout fans — they’re 1st timers. The crowd literally has to part ways to let you through. It’s chaos, it’s mental, and it’s why I love it. 🔥

A heap of people show up hoping to skid, but not everyone gets the chance. So if you’re thinking about having a crack, here are a few tips:

✅ Campers always get first priority
✅ Burnouts are only a small part of the event – don’t turn up thinking you’re the headliner
✅ Make sure your car has a point of difference - Its called Muscle Madness for a reason!
✅ Keep your car clean and tidy (this isn’t beat-up bangers nats)
✅ Put on a show the crowd will remember – most of them are seeing burnouts for the first time!

And if you don’t get to skid… don’t moan, don’t sulk. Sit back, regroup, and enjoy the madness. The show is worth it either way.

Over the past 20 years, burnouts have evolved from an informal part of car culture into a structured, professionally run motorsport with clear rules, trained officials and purpose-built facilities. Today, burnout competitions are a major drawcard at automotive festivals across Australia, New Zealand, and the United States.

Burnouts have taken many of us on unforgettable journeys — across tracks, across borders, and into lifelong friendships. This tour is about giving back, by creating new opportunities for others to experience the sport legally, safely, and proudly.

By empowering and educating future drivers, we are building a stronger, safer, and more united burnout community — one that can continue to grow for generations to come.

The Salute to Tama meeting just gone was an absolute cracker! The Big V8 Mods sure know how to put on one hell of a show!

And the best part? We’re not done yet…

We’re lucky enough to be hosting the New Zealand Modified Champs right here at Wellington Family Speedway, on December 27th & 28th!

Two massive nights of pure V8 goodness, wheel-lifting action, and the best Modified drivers in the country battling it out for the big title.

We caught up with the 68A Kiwi Furniture Movers Motorsport Team driver Cody Hata who made his way to Wellington Family Speedway for the Salute to Tama modified meeting in the weekend!

The New Zealand Modified Champs being held right here in Wellyington on 27th & 28th Decemeber!

STOCKCAR drivers... We still have entries open for this weekends Capital Pools & Spas Ultimate Pair Knockout!!

So get those entries in, or could this be "Hollywood Harrys: year!

Capital Pools & Spas Ultimate Pair Knockout. Each pair in the format will compete in a seeding heat race before entering the ultimate knockout format.

This format consists of four groups of 4 pairs, each group races 8 laps with the first two cars home team advancing to the next round. This will leave teams working with tactics, blocking and trying to ensure their flyer gets the flag!
