A couple weeks back we dropped Charlotte’s little esky SKDMRK off to our go-to engine wizards at Llama Engineering for a well-deserved tickle-up.

After a yarn with Mark about what we wanted, the lads got to work — fitting a new , dual valve springs, dual-row timing set, a set of Johnson Tie Bar lifters, and a Mellings high-volume oil pump. While the heads were off, they even gave it the signature Llama port and polish treatment. 🐪💪

With Autofest just around the corner, there was only one bloke I could think of to put it to the test — our good mate, the one and only Jade Luff. And test it he did!
Three massive skids, a wild run in the Light ’Em Up lane, and after jumping shotgun for his qualifying round, I knew he’d done enough to crack the Top 20 — even in the rain! ☔🔥

Jade came out swinging in the final, this time with Charlotte riding shotgun — and to top it off, the Barely team surprised us with a set of coloured tyres for the show! The crowd was pumped, I was pumped, and Jade drove the wheels clean off it — earning himself a Wild Card spot at Summernats! 🏁💥

What. A. Day.
Massive shout-out to Tony & James, the Llama Engineering crew, and of course Charlotte, for being such a legend when you found out I’d “borrowed” your car for the day… 😅❤️

Llama Engineering - Moving our engine building and tuning to the team at Llama Engineering back in 2020 was one of the best decisions we made.

Five years on, we’re still running the very first 6L they built for us — and it’s still healthy, still strong, and still taking the abuse like a champ!

We’ve always kept the tune pretty safe (maybe too safe sometimes), but now it’s time to pull the 6L down for its first-ever inspection and some long-overdue upgrades.

1st of the Appreciation Posts 🙌

Big shoutout to Azhar & Alex from Premier Events , and Pare & Alan from Downtime Entertainment — the driving force behind giving us Kiwis a shot on the world stage at Summernats! 🇳🇿🔥

This event is like no other and should be on the bucket list for any burnout enthusiast anywhere in the world!

Both teams had to battle through all sorts of hurdles to make this year’s events happen — that classic crappy NZ weather didn’t make it easy — but they still pushed through and made it work.

These guys could’ve easily called it off and focused on other parts of their shows, but time after time they make it happen.

Sometimes it might not feel like it through all the noise… but we all appreciate the hard work you guys put in for us. Without you, our cars would just be expensive garage ornaments! 💪
