Te Rā is the third studio album by New Zealand metal band Alien Weaponry. The album was released on 28 March 2025 by Na**lm Records. As with their previous two albums, the album features tracks sung both in English and in Māori and incorporates elements of native music.

Niel de Jong (Hammerhead) has been working in the recording industry for over 25 years. His career started when things were still recorded to Studer tape machines and evolved through the digital revolution working with Audiofile, Synclavier and Pro-tools. He has many years experience in music mastering and post production sound mixing for film and television. He now mixes and masters music in Presonus Studio One.

Why “Hammerhead?” It’s a nickname given when Niel started working with Alien Weaponry and touring the world’s big metal festivals. “An old metal fan from way back”, his nickname comes from mangopare, the Māori name for the hammerhead shark and is a mythical guardian of his Ngāti Pikiao family. “It just kind of stuck”
