Puketapu Radio 756 AM Puketapu Radio 756am & Gift Shop has been on air since 1999 and is a voluntary organization.

Located in the BNZ Building, run by volunteers, fully purpose Radio Studio manned daily by announcers who keep the community updated on news, weather, and community events. The shop has a great range of secondhand books, jigsaws, souvenirs, travel, and local information. Also, a great range of giftware for all ages, a must see to grab a Gift.

SH1 EVANSDALE TO WAIKOUAITI, OTAGO - SPILL - FINAL UPDATE 9AM, MON 7 SEP

State Highway 1 has now RE-OPENED between Waikouaiti and Evansdale settlements.

Take extra care through the area and adhere to temporary speed limits in place.

UPDATE 6:40AM, MON 7 SEP

State Highway 1 is now CLOSED between the settlements of Waikouaiti and Evansdale, due to a large diesel spill.

Light vehicles can detour via Coast Rd. Allow additional time for travel through the area. Please note that despite previous advice this route is not suitable for heavy vehicles. Heavy vehicles are being stacked at either end of the closure.

State Highway 1 is currently BLOCKED near the intersection with Evansdale-Glen Rd, west of the settlement of Warrington, due to a large diesel spill.

Expect delays through the area and be prepared to detour via Coast Rd. ^CS
