We were delighted to share some of our new resources with the hard working volunteer team at the Palmerston Information Centre last week.

Palmerston is an important gateway to the Waitaki Whitestone UNESCO Global Geopark and we are very appreciative of their support.

We had such a nice time talking with the team and viewing all the displays and information at hand as well as getting a glimpse of the inner workings of Puketapu Radio 756 AM.

We look forward to visiting again soon!

The following roads are closed around or leading into the District:

Danseys Pass is closed due to snow

🟠 There's also a warning in place for:

SH8 Lindis Pass, Omarama to Tarras
SH8 Kurow to Omarama.
SH1 Palmerston to Dunedin.
SH85 Pig Root from Palmerston up to Kyeburn.
SH87 Kyeburn to Mosgiel.

These roads are reopened but wintry conditions remain so please take extra care if driving these routes.
