How do you go about remaking a 30yr old ad? Well, first you methodically break it down shot by shot and work out the locations, time of day, talent, gear, logistics, and that’s where the work really begins. Here is our original breakdown frame board, and some of the original vs remake frames.

It’s out in the world! We’re excited to share our remake of the iconic ‘He Ain’t Heavy’ 90’s ad for

Methodically studying the original video and figuring out how to modernise it, while staying faithful the original vision was a fun process. With 35+ Scenes, and 100+ Police staff/talent to coordinate it was a mammoth task to bring it all together. Thankfully we had the pleasure of teaming up with the amazing Police Marketing and Comms team to streamline the process.

An incredibly fun and rewarding shoot; we’re thrilled with the final result and that we were able to do so with a small and agile production crew, it’s the Frank way.

For the final shoot in our recent run with we went to the Hawkes Bay to help promote fire safety within the RSE community. Thanks to , the local brigade, and everyone who helped bring this together!

Continuing on in our series on Preparedness for we travelled to Twizel last week. We filmed with the local community and both fire brigades to see what measures they had been undertaking to help mitigate the risk of wildfires and other natural disasters.

It’s been a busy couple of weeks for the Frank Team as we’ve been traveling around NZ telling stories for . One of our stops was Christchurch where we looked at preparedness for the ever present wildfire threat on the Port Hills, and what people are doing to mitigate it. Thanks to all of those who shared the time with us to help bring the shoot together!
