Marking the demolition of the original Wellington Club building, 80 The Terrace - Dominion, February 1972. The back section of the property was acquired by the Government as part of the construction of the Wgtn Urban Motorway. It was replaced by a Roger Walker-designed building as noted - which itself was demolished in controversial circumstances in 1986 to build the new club building and high rise that sits on the site today.

A story on the undeveloped site on the corner of Willis and Manners Street - March 1977. The site would remain empty for a further three years, and even be home to a community garden, before the Dukes Arcade was built in 1980. The arcade was only supposed to be a temporary structure until a more permanent building was developed - but it remains there to this day.
