In The Last of Us S2 EP2, a 1000 strong horde of infected storm the gates of Jackson 🍄🧟‍♂️ The horde was a carefully constructed blend of live-action stunt performers and CG infected composited together to create a malevolent, hive-minded swarm. To transform the sequence into Jackson's intended blizzard conditions, snow, fog and weather FX were layered into mixed-condition plates using an innovative weather control system ❄️ On-set explosions were amplified with CG volumetric FX, enhancing the overall intensity of the scene 💥

From Previs to Final: The Siege of Jackson 🎥 For The Last of Us S2 EP2, we partnered with the filmmakers to develop a detailed previs that was closely followed during principal photography. This helped shape one of the most complex sequences our crew has worked on and one of the most rewarding to bring to screen.
