Check it out, the Solid State Logic (SSL) 8K is now installed at the studio. The 8K now an 8048G represents the pinnacle of SSL’s classic consoles. No expense spared 90’s analogue design and performance. This one was fully spec’d and is equipped with Ultimation (flying faders), Total Recall, 24x 242 and 24x 292 EQ’s, Plasmas, Atomic Power supply, original and Tangerine computer! It actually had a lot more features that we removed to simplify the layout, as it can all be done in a DAW. To put it simple, this is the peak of classic analogue design and means incredible mixes!

UPGRADE NEWS:

Anyone that has been to The Armoury knows how much I absolutely love my SSL console. It’s been the heart of two of my studios, creating mixes with that legendary SSL punch, warmth, and depth. There’s nothing like working on a real SSL, hearing that unmistakable magic on every track and that classic 4K master bus comp on your master bus! There's a reason why more have been mixed on an SSL than every other console combined - they are that good!

But now, it’s time for an upgrade! I’m moving to a larger SSL a 8048, which means my 4024 is up for grabs. This is a rare opportunity— it's the only SSL4000 in New Zealand and it is incredible condition!

Here it is! Our latest drum demo video in our new lovely sounding live room. This time we're demoing in a 'Metal' style on our Drum Workshop Inc. (DW Drums) and our Tama Drums 50th Anniversary Bell Brass. The Tama is tuned high and open, which is wild!
