Such an honour to be a finalist for the "Best Access Radio Show" category at the NZ Radio and Podcast awards for the second year in a row 🎙
Unfortunately we didn't win this year, but being in the top 4 is pretty surreal!!

Haley, Sarah and Sophie had a great night at the awards night in Auckland on Thursday, and Eleonora, Laura and Harita had a fun night at the Wellington Access Radio 106.1FM studio viewing party!

Congrats to the winners: WTH are Maori Wards ( ARTFM - Access Radio Taranaki) and the other finalists: Being Real Parents (Plains Media) and Lest We Forget (Wellington Access Radio) 📻

The NZ Radio & Podcast Awards celebrate the very best in New Zealand broadcasting, and with 636 entries this year, being recognised is an outstanding achievement.

A huge thanks to Wellington Access Radio, CAMA - Community Access Media Alliance, and NZ On Air for all the help with getting our show on air every Sunday night, Wellington Branch of National Council of Women New Zealand, and MP Glen Bennett for sponsoring the shows operational costs, all the amazing guests we've interviewed (almost 200 inspirational people since we started CWW in 2021), and most importantly, our families for holding down our homes while we spend hours recording and editing our show 💜

Last night we celebrated the 2026 NZ Radio & Podcast Awards with a special screening at the station.

It was a lovely night of delicious food and great company, and a wonderful chance to celebrate the two amazing Wellington Access Radio programmes that were nominated for Best Access Radio Programme - Conversations With Wāhine and 'Lest We Forget: Stories of Survival and Hope'.

Huge congratulations to the winner of the category, ARTFM's 'WTH are Māori Wards?' - a fantastic series that we also broadcast on Wellington Access Radio in 2025.

Shout out also to Plains Media who were the fourth Access station nominated in the category with their programme 'Being Real Parents'.

We ❤ Access Media!
