Exciting news! The Wellington City Mission is building Whakamaru – a transformative community hub, and they want YOU to be a part of it!

This five-story hub will offer 35 long-term transitional housing units, a social supermarket that brings dignity to foodbank experiences, a pay-as-you-feel community café, and critical support services. It's all about creating a safe, inclusive space where there is ‘no us and them’.

But here's the catch – they need our help to finish it! They have already raised $40 million and now are just $4.5 million away from opening doors debt free in 2024.

We want Wellingtonians to feel a sense of ownership of this community hub. That’s why when you donate, you’ll receive this iconic red key, shaped like our very own Wellington hill line.
