🇳🇿SUNDAY WEATHER UPDATE: STRONG WINDS PEAKING ACROSS PARTS OF NZ
According to MetService, strong to severe winds are affecting parts of New Zealand today, with winds expected to peak today before easing for many areas tonight or overnight.
Another surge of nor’westers is expected on Monday, mainly across the South Island and into the lower North Island. These winds are forecast to be less strong and less widespread than today’s event.
Wind-related damage remains possible in exposed areas. Alpine snow may also affect some South Island highways, while thunderstorms are possible across parts of the south and west.
