An awesome night at Coroglen Tavern on 29 December - a great prep for New Years Eve. The tavern is the destination for great music concerts with Th' Dudes, Mockers and Stella* and a big crowd of concert goers. Everyone was getting into the New Years Eve mood early. The food was great as well. Thank you Coroglen Tavern!

The Cooks Beach Carnival - a super fun and fund raising event for Whenuakite School. It is annual and hundreds come - lots of games and competitions for school age children and they love it all. The Talent Quest is a very good standard. There was so much choice when it came to food as well as ice cream, juice and sweets. Stall selling locally made products as well as commercial based goods -including toys and clothes were at a very fair price to buy. Everywhere there awere volunteers to help and to organise. Daisy the cow arrived to drop her dung on the winning square. The lLucky person received $1,000. The joy and spirit of the carnival plus its success in raising funds is of great credit to the whole Cooks Beach community.
