The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has announced that Thursday, 8th January, will be an official holiday for individuals working in the ROP. This is to celebrate the annual Police Day celebrations. The ROP clarified that police centres will continue their routine operations and provide all services around the clock, ensuring uninterrupted service delivery to the public.

The Who frontman, Roger Daltrey was knighted by the Prince of Wales at Windsor Castle on Wednesday, 10th December.

The 81-year-old rock legend was made a Knight Bachelor for his services to music and charity.

As co-founder and lead vocalist of The Who and a revered solo artist, Roger Daltrey has sold more than 100 million records worldwide and helped change the face of rock music forever.

Outside of his day job, Daltrey was pivotal in starting the Teenage Cancer Trust at the Royal Albert Hall concert series in 2000.

The Who performed numerous times at the concerts over the decades, and Daltrey was the event’s ambassador until 2024 when he became an Honorary Patron.
