They can make outdoor spaces uncomfortable, increase heat loss, and create unwanted drafts.

✅ Tip: Use trees as windbreaks to help protect your home.
Well placed vegetation can slow wind speeds, improve outdoor comfort, and reduce exposure around the house.
The right species and location make a big difference.

Good design works with nature, not against it.

❌ Kitchen aisles too narrow?
Cooks bump into each other, appliances collide, and the kitchen becomes frustrating to use.

✅ Tip: Size kitchen aisles based on how many people will cook.
For one cook, allow about 42 inches between countertops.
For two cooks, increase that to about 48 inches.

The right aisle width improves workflow, safety, and comfort.
A kitchen should fit the people using it, not just the cabinets.

Different schedules, sleep habits, light sensitivity, and different standards of tidiness and cleanliness can all affect not just sleep, but the relationship itself.

✅ Tip: Separated bedrooms can work well for some couples.
The key is balancing privacy, sleep quality, and connection.
Some couples prefer one shared room, others benefit from separate sleeping spaces while keeping shared areas and routines.

Good design adapts to people, not the other way around.

Place openings so air can move through the space, not just into it.

Use perforated pipe, gravel, and proper slope to collect and redirect water away.
Relieving pressure is what keeps the wall stable over time.
