The elders teach that evolution IS the tradition.

With a quick look around the world, many of us know what time it is. Time to weave, to learn from each other on a larger scale, and learn do so with respect and reciprocity. It's nuanced, but inevitable.

It's also inevitable that we're moving forward into an unprecedented tech/AI-driven era.

If we can pull this off the right way at the collective scale, we can allow the wisdom of the past cycles of time to mutate into something that actually helps us wield the power at our fingertips in the present. That's the whole thesis.

Envision….wow. Feeling so blessed to have shared the jams on Luna stage for the third time in a row 🙏🏼

This year hit different.

🌀Got to bring two of my brothers and on stage to share their magic through our unreleased collabs [one being the track in this clip]

🌀Got to curate the Maloca w/ the soul fam, have more of my closest friends share their souls in their talks, and witness the ways in which the seed of the AFC is germinating

🌀Got to see so many AFC alumni squadding up and getting down together

🌀Got to throw down, teach creative philosophy, and yet again have some deep drop-ins with the boys , .official, and at both and

🌀Co-created the AFC Maloca with and , who came up from Colombia to continue to weave important bridges when it matters most

What a vibe.

Thank you to everyone who’s been bumping the tunes, tapping in, and picking up what I’m tryna put down.

So much gratitude for this path, for the work, for the hard days, and the days it all pays off. Wouldn’t have it any other way.

Been at it y’all 🌀The infinite layers of the interplay between sound and consciousness will never cease to fascinate me.

From fully transporting us through space and time in the mind, acting as a carrier wave to the subconscious for deep imagery/storytelling in ways words fail, and even altering cellular function….its endless and we’re only beginning to remember the potential. Let’s fu***ng go ♾️

I consider myself somewhat of a sonic anthropologist. One of my top goals in all these travels is to study the various contexts in which music was used to manipulate consciousness in beneficial ways.

To learn how these cultures opened the doors to really move people through story, symbol, and sound - and to bring that back into how I create and teach music

…to weave this knowledge into bass music. Y’all know I like to keep it fun 🤝

The Savej project and the is about weaving culture, meaning, ayni, and depth into the fun we have 🌀🐉

It’s my opinion that we carry a responsibility as producers to pause and consider the caliber to which electronic music has permeated culture, and hold that accordingly… whatever that means for each of us.
