I have to sincerely thank this group and Laura Ann Coates for creating this most amazing and sentimental gift for my husband. He kept the receipt from the night we met. It hangs on our fridge but is now worn and faded. Laura has the amazing talent of embroidering receipts and posted in this group. I reached out to her to commission this unique and treasured gift. It was delivered today. My husband loves it! Keep doing all the amazingly beautiful dull things because you never know when it will brighten someone else’s day! ♥️

Hello folks. Newbie here want to share a story.
Last week I found myself commenting on a post about making a selection from a list of ‘what do you need to get through the day.’ The choices amongst others included coffee, read a book, have a chauffeur, a cleaner etc. Of the choices available what I really needed were a coffee and a cleaner. As I can make my own coffee I chose cleaner, then specified laughingly that someone to clean my oven and deep clean my bathroom would be ideal.
The more I thought about it the more desirable it became. I researched local cleaning companies and even got a quote. Finally I succumbed to the desire and booked it in as a birthday gift to myself. I am so excited and yet a little sad that I am excited.

Hi everyone. I am 80 this year & having a battle with face disfigurement from a cancer removal. Married for 58 years. Great family of three children & seven grandchildren. Live in a retirement village. Swim in the pool most mornings, do some gardening/housework/tai chi. Love listening to Audible books. When I can’t sleep at night usually have ear plugs in listening to a tale. When I wake up have to go back & find where I got up to. Cards with my friends with lots of laughter & a couple of wines is one of my perfect moments. Enjoy painting & drawing. Keeping a positive outlook no matter what & a sense of humour.

Today is my Birthday. I am celebrating 74 trips around the sun. I am currently in remission from cancer for a little over 2 yrs. Today the hubby and i celebrated at home and tomorrow we are going out to a fancy pants supper club for day 2 of celebrations. I don't worry about my age...just grateful to be here.

Hi All, I received a package in the mail today from an acquaintance that lives in Minnesota who visited here recently. These cookies were inside the package & they are delicious. As a Southwest desert dweller I’ve never seen these before & am wondering what this shape is (feeling naive). I want to send a proper thank you and need some help finding out the special meaning behind these. This is the best banana 🍌 I have for scale. Size 6 1/2 cowgirl boots. Today I drank "the wine". The one I've been saving for a special occasion.
2024 hasn't been the best year( mental health wise) but today I decided that I am special and amazing and empowered and I can really pick good wine!

I'm 49 and a half years old. I used to be rather wild, but now pleasantly dull and content. I love gardening outdoor and caring for my indoor plants. My four dogs are my soulmates, I never married nor had children. I live in Northern Ireland where we get four seasons in one day. I'm so dull I photographed this snail very early one morning! Shoe size 6, plant based diet.. and at almost half a century old, I have finally found inner peace. Ps quite a fan of fast driving in my mini clubman 😆

Today's dull task was fixing the bag of crazy keys. When I was promoted, I also was gifted a bag of keys. With little to no idea of what they were for. One was a key to a key box full of more keys, including a key to a second key box of keys. It was like key-ception. I have now figured out most of them and discarded what could not be ID'd (like "Gerry's special cabinet". Who is Gerry and what is his cabinet?). Keys are now color coded for its home (red for flammable cabinets, blue for freezers, etc) and I have created a key log with the various key codes, and who has keys. There is still a pile of keys in my office, but they are duplicates of known keys to be signed out when needed. Only 2 people have the key for the master key box (One key to rule them all). This brings me joy.

Raspberry season yall
Remember, raspberries have no poisonous lookalikes, and are best enjoyed warm, fresh, and scented with fresh air and native mint species like this here bee balm. Happy foraging
Edit to inform: raspberries don't grow on bushes but rather, canes. Where bushes will grow a woody stem that branches and widens over the years, canes grow (when undisturbed) as an arcing stem that branches, fruits, then dies off to be replaced by another cane. Some cane plants fruit on the same year the cane grows but most fruit the following year, so each cane lives for only 2 years. That's why raspberry plants never get very tall. No part of it above ground lives for terribly long

My birthday 🥳 today. 77 years young. I watched movies; had an afternoon nap; then a friend took me out for dinner. After that we went to Sketchers Outlet and I was able to get myself a new pair of runners size 9. we had a lovely evening Now it’s bedtime 💤
