⛵️Christmas Eve and the end of nearly three years of adventure⛵️
❤️We had a fantastic Christmas Eve with good friends. I’ve struggled to get into the Christmas spirit this year. We’ve been working hard with , and we even had a weeklong sailing trip in mid-December. On top of that, I was hit by a stomach infection after the festival. So, having to think about elves and Christmas ducks at the same time became a bit difficult. 🎄
But Christmas Eve turned out to be absolutely fantastic nonetheless. First, bingo at Ohana, then Christmas movies at our place, and finally, Christmas Eve at Aspe. The kids were happy, and us adults just enjoyed ourselves as always. We had duck, brown and white potatoes, red cabbage, and gravy. Basically, a traditional Christmas dinner.
On December 26th, Anton and I headed back to Denmark. The boat needs to be prepared for new crew, and we agreed that Flemming will have peace to do that. It also means that this part of our adventure is over. It’s bittersweet, bidding farewell to fantastic people; the relationship we’ve had out here has been truly unique. But at the same time, the longing for those back home is significant. Now, everything needs to settle and find its place. We need to adapt to a different kind of everyday life. What that will entail, time will tell. You’ll have to wait and hear more 😊 In the meantime, you can hop over to , where we’ll continue sharing lots of travel and sailing tips 👉🏻
