Brenda Biya, daughter of Cameroon’s President Paul Biya, has publicly urged Cameroonians not to vote for her father in the October 2025 election.

Speaking during a TikTok Live session, Brenda—known online as "King Nasty"—blamed her father's 43-year rule for poverty, unemployment, and national stagnation.

Paul Biya, 92, is one of the world’s longest-serving leaders and has faced decades of allegations of authoritarianism and corruption. Brenda’s comments mark the first time a sitting African president’s child has openly opposed their parent’s leadership.

Although her remarks have triggered off intense debate, critics note Brenda lives abroad in luxury and has had a strained relationship with her family, raising questions about her connection to everyday Cameroonian struggles.

3. Sow the Seeds
