The Simbu Students Union of UOG has been having annual Simbu Students' culture show as one of their annual activities, which started by Camillus Gagma when he was invited by the students to be their patron since 2017.

They normally have their cultural shows at Goroka NSI, but this year marks 50 years of political independence, and they moved their annual culture show to Kundiawa Dicksons field.

Each 6 districts of Simbu will display their cultural costumes and songs, pure culture, and no other latest inventions are allowed.

Yaltoms band and oldies will entertain crowds early before the students take the field. Two string band groups will also entertain the crowd.

Due to financial constraints faced by the government, the students' request for financial assistance was made in vain.

As usual, Mr. Gagma take the responsibility as the sponsor of the SIMBU STUDENTS CULTURE SHOW .

They welcome you all to the venue at Dicksons field on TODAY, 19 September 2025, 9am to 4pm.

Fr. Ryszard Wadza
Heartfelt congratulations to Fr. Ryszard Wadza, Parish priest of Wangoi Pairsh, Chuave, Kundiaw/Simbu Diocese on being awarded the Gold Cross of Merit Award by the Polish President Andrzej Duda for his outstanding missionary work.

To my knowledge, Fr. Ryszard is continuing his missionary work in Simbu for more than 25 years - in Wangoi Parish, Ombomdo/Koglai Parish, and now another term in Wangoi. He is the director of Divine Word Missionaries and also is in charge of Pastoral Center, Mingende. He has done a lot in terms of human integral development in building schools and health facilities. Wangoi primary school is named after him and they celebrated 25th year anniversary 2years ago.

He is the living 'Papa blo Simbu' after Fr. John Niles (late). His experience and wisdom is very instrumental to our young Bishop Paul Sindu and all our Diocesan priests.

We are so blessed and thankful to God to have you Fr. Ryszard.
