The dream of having two (2) Fly River Provinces (Split of Western) got over the first hurdle of being endorsed and voted by the Fly River Provincial Assembly today in Daru, the 23rd of April 2025.

This historical vote and victory for the Province must now be blessed by the National Executive Council before the 2027 National General Elections.

The dream, the hope for a greater Fly River Province remains alive..

Hon. Borok Pitalok bows out of politics.

President of the Star Mountain LLG, Hon. Pitalok made his retirement speech today at the FRPG Assembly.
He is instrumental in ensuring land issues surrounding the operations of the OK Tedi Mine was always kept in check and has remained unopposed throughout all LLG Elections.

Thankyou for your leadership and steadfast commitment to ensuring progress in Western Province.

On the eve of the Local Level Government Elections for 2025, the Fly River Provincial Government held its last formal Assembly meetings in Daru today.

The emphasis on developing "road corridors" is a strategic approach in reaching communities scattered throughout our vast landmass.

The Kiunga-Aimbak Road is a vital road connection for North and Middle Fly District.

Western Province Governor, Taboi Awi Yoto and provincial administrator Mr. Robert Alphones Kaiyun have been touring various proposed and ongoing project sites throughout the week.

Mr. Greg Isau to lead the North Fly District Administration for the next three (3) years.

North Fly District Administration now has a permanent appointment of its District Administrator.
The signing of his contract occurred at the North Fly District Administration Office (the North Fly House) on the 12th of February 2025.

The occasion facilitated by the WPA HR Division was witnessed by the Provincial Administrator, Mr. Kaiyun and our two (2) political leaders, Western Governor Hon. Taboi Awi Yoto and NF MP and PRP Party Leader, Hon. James Donald.

Provincial Administrator, Mr. Robert A Kaiyun has expressed satisfaction in the smooth transition of the Office of the Middle Fly District Administrators Office while congratulating the incoming District Administrator, Mr. Malongim and acknowledging the enormous input by Mr. J Tamop.

He added the "Stability" in any organisation leads to greater impact in implementing and achieving goals and objectives while thanking the Hon. Taboi Awi Yoto for providing leadership in ensuring stability in the Westeen Provincial Administration and the Political Space.

He also welcomed Mr. Malongim in taking up residency along with District Treasury staff in Nomad Station.
