"Leadership That Inspires: Apolos Tai’s Remarkable Service as the President of JSA."

On behalf of the Jiwaka Students Association (JSA) 2025; both clinical and non-clinical students, outgoing executives for 2025 and incoming executives for 2026, we would like to extend our deepest gratitude and appreciation to Mr. Apolos Tai who hails from Kudjip. As the former President of Jiwaka Students at Divine Word University _ Madang Campus, Apolos has been a true pioneer from the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FMHS) in stepping forward to take on leadership roles as the President of Jiwaka Students Association in 2025.

I believe that, since the establishment of the association, no clinical student from the FMHS has previously assumed such a leadership position (President). Apolos’s dedication, courage, and commitment to balancing his academic journey in Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) with his leadership responsibilities have set a remarkable example for current and future students.

Leadership and responsibility are essential qualities that drive positive change and growth within our lives and the people that we serve. The inspiring example set by pioneers like Apolos Tai reminds us, the incoming executives that stepping forward, even in challenging circumstances, can make a significant difference.

To all clinical students and non-clinical students for Jiwaka Students Association (JSA) here at DWU, and to whomever it may concern, I would like to encourage and urge us to embrace courage and take responsibility like what our outgoing president did. Leadership may seem daunting at times, but it is through your active participation and dedication that you can shape a better future for yourselves, JSA, and those around you.

Mr. Tai, your pioneering spirit and unwavering service inspires us all. Thank you, for your outstanding leadership and for paving the way for others to follow. We wish you all the best in your pursuit of becoming a medical professional and in all your future endeavors.
Remember, every small step counts. Your willingness to lead, serve, and stand up for what is right inspired me and my colleague and create a ripple effect of positive change. Believe in your potential, seize opportunities, and be the change-makers our country needs, in the years to come.

Together, we can build a stronger, more responsible, and more vibrant future. Jiwaka Students Association (JSA) and Jiwaka is proud of your achievements and your unwavering commitment in leading the human resource of Jiwaka here at DWU.

Six DWU Communication Arts (Journalism) students received certificates for their outstanding contribution to the official media coverage of PNG’s 50th Independence celebrations. Engaged by the Madang Provincial Events Committee (MPEC), they captured key moments from 13th–16th September, gaining invaluable hands-on experience in photography, videography and media relations.
DWU sincerely thanks the Madang Provincial Events Committee (MPEC) for involving our students in the 50th Independence celebrations and for your ongoing support in future partnerships.
These students are now looking forward to their internships in the media industry during the coming holiday. Here at DWU we run to win. Wishing this students the very best.

Join us as we celebrate the 17th Missioning Ceremony at Divine Word University, Madang Campus.

The Missioning Ceremony is an annual event where final year students receive a cross that is blessed during the ceremony as they are missioned and sent out into their respective fields or careers to begin their journey.

📍 Venue: St John Paul Hall II Community Hall
