On our return back to POM, I just would like to clear the air here;
Left Lae One mile at exactly 10 am with this blue ten seater!
Arrived at Bema (Boarder of Lae and Gulf) at 3:30pm
Arrived at Kaintiba @ 4:22pm (Stayed there for next 30mins)
Left Kaintiba at 4:50pm and Arrived at Epo Junction Kerema at 11pm.
From Kerema to POM we drove slowly until we reached POM 9mile Junction at 4:50 am.
When you do the math, it's just around 20+ hours for rough fresh cut road! It will be a better road when some steep mountains are dropped to its minimum road level.
Important Note: One full tank fuel ⛽️ is not enough. You have have two or carry a tank extra if you don't have two tanks!
For now, I urge public not to travel and give time to our contractors to work on some few critical areas until you are free to use that road !
Otherwise this Transnational highway is here to stay and it will be with us until further development regardless of any future government take office.
