Papua New Guinea's telecommunications regulator is moving to block more than 1,000 websites containing explicit content.
The move follows a government directive issued three years ago to restrict harmful online material, with a 30-day deadline set last month to enforce the ban.
Communications expert Dr Amanda Watson says the crackdown has strong public support.
