Organizational Setting and Reporting Relationship
The position of Finance and Administration Officer is assigned to ADB's Papua New Guinea Resident Mission (PNRM) within the Pacific Department (PARD). You will be based at our resident mission office in Port Moresby.
You will report to the Country Director, PNRM, and will oversee junior team members.
Your Role
As a Finance and Administration Officer, you will manage PNRM's finance, administration, budget monitoring, human resources, institutional procurement, and security functions. You will provide leadership in the general administrative support in facilities and fixed asset management, logistics coordination, personnel management, and liaison functions related to administrative and security matters.
You will:
Lead financial operations and budget management, including payments, cash administration, expense monitoring, forecasting, and reporting to ensure efficient resource use.
Ensure accurate transactions and compliance with ADB policies and controls, resolve audit issues, and guide junior staff to maintain high-quality financial practices.
Oversee office facilities, assets, vehicles, and systems, ensuring safety, functionality, lifecycle management, and coordination of relocations.
Manage procurement and contracts, maintain records and inventories, improve processes, monitor vendors, and coordinate IT support for efficient operations.
Provide HR administrative support.
