Crushing Sorcery
More strength to the Tribal Foundation in their fight against sorcery and violence against our women. Good to hear of another conviction under the Glassman Act of a supposed "prayer warrior" There have been 17 successful convictions so far and another 150 pending. But the Foundation needs more government funding to fight this scourge and wipe these lowlife individuals from the face of the earth in PNG. Something in the 2027 Budget would go a long way, Mr Treasurer?

Phones in Prison
We have all seen the TV movies where smuggled phones in prison are illegal. But what is the policy in PNG prisons? The silence has been deafening. Maybe we should give them a call? Perhaps the new Commissioner could make a public statement on his policy? We do not need convicted murderers, rapists and fraudsters communicating with the outside world. Duping vulnerable individuals and girls on chat forums with slop videos on FB, TikTok and Instagram. We do not need them accessing phone banking so they have funds available to ply some nefarious trade inside the walls or bribe prison officers. One supervised call a week to relatives is enough. They are in prison, supposed to be deprived of their rights after all? Tell the public, Commissioner. Do you have a policy? And more to the point, do your officers apply it or are they profiting from providing access?
