𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗹𝗲𝘀, 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘂𝗽 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘀𝗸𝘆 𝗮𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼 𝗱𝗲 𝗦𝗮𝗻 𝗝𝘂𝗮𝗻 𝗱𝗲 𝗟𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻 - 𝗕𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗮𝗻 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗟𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗼𝘀𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗼𝗮𝗴.

Words of prayers wander around as the students and staff of Colegio de San Juan de Letran - Bataan roam around the streets of Orani, Bataan. As the moon shines light, the candles illuminate the faith of students, staff, and onlookers this Sunday evening at the Plaza of Orani, on October 5, 2025.

Led by the statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary, along with a parade of saints including an alumnus of the Colegio, St. Vincent Liem de la Paz, Colegio de San Juan de Letran-Bataan, along with the devoted followers of the Virgin Mary, presents their unwavering devotion. The faithful people involved moved as one. The air was thick with reverence but also with something lighter—hope, perhaps, or the quiet joy of belonging to something greater than oneself.

Around the same time last year, as per tradition, Colegio de San Juan de Letran - Bataan participated in the same grand procession of the Birheng Milagrosa ng Orani. The grand procession stands as a commanding testament to the deep faith and unwavering devotion of Letran-Bataan to the Blessed Virgin Mary, reflecting the community’s enduring commitment.

Through such expressions of conviction, Letran-Bataan continues to honor its spiritual heritage and strengthen its identity as an institution rooted in faith, love, and service.

𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐏𝐄𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐍𝐎𝐖: The Grand Procession of Birheng Milagrosa ng Orani is taking place at the Minor Basilica and Shrine Parish of Our Lady of the Rosary of Orani on Sunday, October 5, 2025. This solemn event marks the celebration of Orani’s fiesta and honors our beloved patroness through prayer, unity, and devotion.

Followers of the Blessed Virgin Mary are welcomed by Executive Vice President of Colegio de San Juan de Letran - Bataan, Rev. Fr. Reynor E. Munsayac, O.P., with the mass itself being presided over by Rev. Fr. Jesus Jay Miranda O.P., the Vice President for Academics and Research. Students and staff of Colegio de San Juan De Letran - Bataan are also present in the mass, in line with Letran’s Dominican roots.

Roads from Arko to Apollo are currently closed to give way to the procession that is scheduled to start at 6PM. This meaningful event strengthens the community’s faith and highlights the deep spiritual heritage of Orani.

"𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗚𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗻, 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲": 𝗟𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻-𝗕𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗶𝗺𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗮 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗼𝘄.

Members and officers of various Registered School Organizations (RSO), as well as their respective advisers, kick off the "Growing Together Campaign: Vegetable Gardening" project this 29th of September at the motorpool area of Colegio de San Juan de Letran - Bataan as part of the sustainability effort of the Colegio.

The event, organized by the Laudato si Sustainability Committee and spearheaded by the Letran Collegiate Student Council (LCSC), aims to bring the campus together as one in events where both students and staff of the Colegio can work together in achieving a better environment for everyone on the campus. Each course is given their respective plot of land to grow their desired plant. This garden will also provide materials for future projects at the Colegio.

Small efforts like this event hold great significance for promoting sustainability inside the campus. Furthermore, this project is part of the "Season of Creation 2025" activity with the theme of "Peace with Creation." Colegio de San Juan de Letran-Bataan commits itself to help and participate in the efforts of the Laudato si' Sustainability Committee to build a better future for the campus and inspire the next generation to be mindful of what they use in their daily lives.

𝗟𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻-𝗕𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗮 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗱𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗰𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘀 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹-𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀.

Colegio de San Juan de Letran - Bataan, in partnership with the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) - Abucay, conducts the annual fire drill today, September 11, 2025, held at the Colegio’s gymbahan to ensure safety and preparedness as well as awareness of students, staff, and faculty in case of emergencies.

With regard to this, FO1 Angelo Macaspac of BFP-Abucay guides the students and staff on how to use fire extinguishers properly with step-by-step procedures. Both students and staff were also given the opportunity to handle the equipment, which reinforces the correct way to control small fires. A demonstration of an injured person during a potential fire drill is taught to students and staff alike.

When asked about the importance of annual fire drills, FO1 Angelo Macaspac stated that since fire emergencies do not frequently happen, it is better to prepare for them annually so when we are faced with the actual situation, it will be like ‘muscle memory’ to people. When practiced yearly, the knowledge will not be taken away from people easily. This does not only apply to fire emergencies but natural calamities as well.

During the day, Letranites was faced with the challenge of using what they’ve been taught in a real-life event as the campus was hit with an actual earthquake around 3 in the afternoon. According to PHIVOLCS, waves of a magnitude of 4.8 originating from Zambales were felt within the campus itself. Students and staff quickly uses their earthquake protocol to ensure a smooth exit outside the campus. Staff of the Colegio also thoroughly checks if there are any students who were left behind. No casualty or injury was reported in the process of evacuating.

Letran-Bataan and BFP-Abucay reaffirm their commitment to creating a culture of safety and readiness among the community that can be used in real life.

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞: 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼 𝗱𝗲 𝗦𝗮𝗻 𝗝𝘂𝗮𝗻 𝗱𝗲 𝗟𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻 - 𝗕𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗮𝗻 𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗩𝗶𝗿𝗴𝗶𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗱𝗱𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗼𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗔.𝗬. 2025-2026.

This past September 8, 2025, Monday, at the Colegio de San Juan de Letran - Bataan’s gymbahan, the whole campus gathered to celebrate the Eucharistic Celebration of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Rev. Fr. Reynor Munsayac, O.P., presided over the Eucharistic Celebration, further strengthening the bond between the Letranites and the Blessed Virgin Mary on her day of birth. Following the mass was the Arriba Address, hosted by Asst. Prof. Norady M. Pere, PhD, addresing the communication gap of the students during the era of the pandemic and the accessible support of the student services present in the Colegio. After the insightful discussion with Ms. Pere, certificates were given to multiple members of the Letran - Bataan Family for the “Tulong Letranista Certifications”.

Rev. Fr. Raymund Fernando P. Jose, O.P. was set to address the whole campus as well. Before talking about the future and the goals of the Colegio for the foreseeable future, Rev. Fr. Jose reported the accomplishments of the past academic year, mentioning the student achievements during the session. He then discussed the Colegio's plans to make the campus a better place, not just for the students and staff, but also the environment. Sustainability Initiatives in response to Climate Change and Environmental Concerns, establishing the Sustainability: Letran as a Green Campus initiative, and Plastic-Free Day: Bring your own tumblers and bento boxes, to name a few.

Rev. Fr. Jose also went on to address the goals the campus has set with regard to the students with some of the priorities or projects for the A.Y. of 2025-2026 by establishing "Academic Excellence: Signature Pedagogy in Sync", Reviewing and Revising the Curriculum of IBED and Collegiate Department, and Integrated Robotics that is geared to automation, artificial intelligence, and data analytics. Along with some that focuses on the extracurricular side of the campus with the plan of bringing back the sports program for the Colegio, as some of the things that were discussed during the goals for this academic year.

With the event coming to a close, and now almost a month in since the start of classes for the Collegiate Department, both students and staff of Colegio de San Juan de Letran - Bataan gear up for what's ahead of the A.Y. 2025-2026.

Nagsagawa ng selebrasyon ang departamento ng kolehiyo ng Colegio de San Juan de Letran Bataan, bilang pagpapakita ng pagpapahalaga sa wika at tradisyon ng Pilipinas.

Sinimulan ang pagdiriwang ng palarong lahi na pinamunuan ni Ginoong Melvin Gallano habang tinuro naman ni Ginoong Dennis Dampil ang palatuntunan ng mga palaro. Nag tuos ang mga estudyante mula sa ACBA at Engineering/IT sa isang umaatikabong laro ng patintero kung saan nag wagi ang mga manlalaro mula sa sa Engineering/IT. Samantalang nagwagi naman ang mga estudyante mula sa HM/COMM laban sa estudyante ng PSYCH sa larong agawang panyo. Sumunod naman ang tagisan ng galing sa "Malayang Pag-tula" ang mga estudyante ng kolehiyo na pinangunahan ni Ginang Cielo Roan Oliveros at Ginoong Melvin Gallano. Bilang pagtatapos ng unang bahagi ng pagdiriwang, nagpasalamat si Ginang Ro-Anne Cielo Oliveros sa partisipasyon ng bawat isa, na kahit nahuli ng ipinagdiwang ang buwan ng wika ay buhay pa rin ang pagmamahal sa bayan. Inihayag din na sana sa dulo ay dala pa rin ang diwa ng pagiging makabayan. Pagsapit ng tanghali ay sinimulan na ang “Pistang Pinoy” kung saan nag dala ng sari-sariling pagkain ang bawat kurso ng kolehiyo na ibabahagi sa isa’t isa at ipagdiwang ang pagkabuti at pagka matulungin ng pagiging Pilipino. Ang pagdarasal bago kumain ay pinamunuan ni Rev. Fr. Reynor E. Munsayac, O.P.

Pagkatapos ng Pista ng Pinoy, Isang makulay na pagtitipon ng talento at kultura, kung saan ipinamalas ng mga mag-aaral ng Colegio De San Juan De Letran Bataan ang kanilang galing sa pagtanghal ng mga awiting Pilipino. Pinangunahan bilang mga hurado sina Ma'am Shannice Francheska Basiles, Ma'am Jane Julaton, at Ma'am Sofia Custodio. Ang programa ay nagsimula sa panalangin, pambansang awit, at resitasyon ng misyon at bisyon. Tampok ang mga makabayang awit at ang pagtatanghal ng mga mag-aaral sa pambansang kasuotan, na nagbigay ng tunay na diwa ng pagmamahal sa pilipinong musika at kultura. Sa intermission number naman, nagbigay aliw ang mga g**o, sa pamamagitan ng isang masiglang sayaw, at sina Johanna Dominguez at Chayen Cunanan na nagpakitang gilas sa awiting "Ikaw Sana" ni Ogie Alcasid, na nagdagdag saya sa buong programa.

Isang matagumpay na pagtatapos bilang bahagi ng Buwan ng Wika, kung saan ipinamalas ng mga magaaral ng Colegio De San Juan de Letran - Bataan ang kanilang galing at pagmamahal sa ating kultura at wika. Ang tema ng taon ay "Paglinang sa Filipino at Katutubong Wika: Makakasaysayan sa Pagkakaisa ng Bansa."

Students and faculty members of Colegio de San Juan de Letran-Bataan settle at the Colegio's Audio Visual Room during August 14, 2025's annual "Balik Arriba" event. The day started off with a warm welcome from the main speaker of the event, Ms. Cielo Oliveros, one of the Colegio’s newly acquainted collegiate instructor. The Colegio staff welcomed both old and new Letranites inside the campus. The event, Balik Arriba, not only aims to allow students to catch up with the campus after a 3-month-long vacation but also to inform them of their new staff, including the brand new area chairpersons for each course which were discussed by the Colegio's Dean, Asst. Prof. Hazel F. Nisay, ECE, MEM.

After the morning prayer and the singing of the national anthem, Sir Robert Angelo Ramos started the program proper by providing some icebreakers in order to not only get the Letranites active for the orientation but also to ensure that both new and old students get a chance to interact with each other. Students bonded over the games, which carried on throughout the rest of the day as the Letranites actively participated in every discussion that followed.

Following the physical activity, students were then treated to vital discussions that ensure their mental state is properly exercised as well. The discussions were given by Collegiate instructors Ms. Shannice Franceska Baciles and Ms. Sofia Charlane Custodio, respectively. Ranging from topics of active lifestyle to "Plant-based Meat Alternatives" and the effects of "Brainrot" and "Doom-Scrolling," all of which gave Letranites a new point of view and understanding of relevant topics.

Also during the event, Mr. John Louie Carillo from the ITSD department demonstrated the functions of "Canvas," the Colegio's new partner, to ensure a smoother way for online activities and schoolwork to be given and received by both students and staff. The presentation dealt with gaining access to the Knight's Canvas account and giving a tour on what to expect when using it. Students of Colegio de San Juan de Letran - Bataan are to use the learning platform for their online work for the academic year of 2025-2026.

The Balik Arriba 2025 orientation goes down as a day where students and faculty of Colegio de San Juan de Letran - Bataan prepare themselves with new valuable information, a new platform to enhance their learning capabilities, and new friends to share memories with.
