โ€ŽIpinagdidiwang ng bansa ang Pambansang Araw ng mga Bayani bilang pagkilala sa katapangan at sakripisyo na naging tulay sa kalayaan at kasarinlan ng Pilipinas. Nagsisilbi itong paalala na maraming buhay ang naialay upang maitayo ang pundasyon ng kasaysayan at mabigyang direksiyon ang pambansang pagkakakilanlan.

โ€ŽHigit pa sa isang paggunita, ang Pambansang Araw ng mga Bayani ay nagsisilbi ring inspirasyon sa bawat Pilipino upang isabuhay ang mga pagpapahalaga ng katapangan, integridad, at paglilingkod. Ipinakikita rin na ang kabayanihan ay hindi lamang matatagpuan sa larangan ng digmaan kundi pati na rin sa mga pang-araw-araw na gawain, sa maliliit na makabuluhang kilos na nakatutulong sa pag-unlad ng ating bansa.

โ€ŽSabay na ipinagdiwang ng Laboratory High School (LHS) ang Buwan ng Wika at Buwan ng Nutrisyon na may temang "WIKALUSUGAN: Kulturang Masustansiya, Wikang Nagkakaisa,โ€ noong ika-20 ng Agosto, 2025 sa Jose D. Aspiras Hall.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽNagsimula ang programa sa isang makulay na parada tampok ang tradisyonal na kasuotan ng mga LHSians na kumakatawan sa mayamang kultura ng bansa. Pagkarating sa JDA Hall, pormal nang binuksan ang programa ng Punongguro na si Prop. Jan Kenneth R. Laguardia kasama ang kaguruan ng LHS, pamunuan ng Student Body Organization (SBO), at mga gurong nagsasanay.

Nagbigay naman ng inspirasyonal na mensahe si Dr. Nona M. Rivera, dekana ng Kolehiyo ng Edukasyon, na hinihikayat ang lahat ng mag-aaral na yakapin ang sariling wika habang pinanatiling maayos ang kanilang kalusugan. Kasunod nito, idinaos ang cookfest kung saan nagpakitang-gilas sa pagluluto ang mga mag-aaral. Isinagawa rin ang iba pang aktibidad gaya ng paggawa ng Slogan, pagsulat ng Alamat, Alamat Cover-Making, at paTALASan na humamon sa intelektuwal na kakayahan ng mga kalahok.

โ€ŽSa pagtatapos ng programa, ipinahayag nina Bise Mayor Eunice Orencia at Kalihim Dyann Mabalot kasama sina Dr. Rivera, Prof. Laguardia, at SBO Officials, ang mga nagwagi sa ibaโ€™t ibang patimpalak. Tinapos ni Mayor Jen Micah De Vera ang kaganapan sa kaniyang pangwakas na pananalita na may taos-pusong pasasalamat sa lahat ng mga nakibahagi at nakilahok.

Ipinagdiwang ng programa ang husay at talento habang itinataguyod ang kamalayan sa wika, kultura, at malusog na pamumuhay tungo sa higit na pagkakaisa ng komunidad ng LHS.

โ€ŽTuwing ika-21 ng Agosto, ipinagdiriwang ng Pilipinas ang โ€œAraw ni Ninoy Aquinoโ€ bilang pagpupugay kay Benigno "Ninoy" Aquino Jr sa kaniyang naging mahalagang gampanin sa pagtataguyod ng demokrasya at pagtatanggol sa karapatan ng bawat Pilipino. Ang pagkapaslang sa kaniya sa Manila International Airport (MIA) noong Agosto 21, 1983 ay naging mitsa ng pagkilos ng mga Pilipino upang baguhin ang landas ng bansa. Ang trahedyang ito ay nanatiling isa sa pinakamalungkot na sandali, hindi lamang para sa kaniyang pamilya at mga kaibigan, kundi pati na rin sa sambayanang Pilipino.

โ€ŽBukod sa pagiging pulitiko, nagsilbi rin siyang boses para sa pinakamadilim na panahon sa ating kasaysayan. Wala siyang takot na nanindigan laban sa mga pang-aabuso sa kapangyarihan, at palakasin ang demokrasya at karapatan ng mamamayang Pilipino, maging kapalit man ang kanyang sariling kalayaan. Ang kanyang hindi natitinag na katapangan at determinasyon na ipaglaban ang katotohanan at katarungan ay nagbigay-inspirasyon sa isang bansang pinatahimik ng takot. Ang sakripisyo ni Ninoy ay nagpapaalala sa mga Pilipino na ang kalayaan ay karapat-dapat na ipaglaban, at kahit na sa harap ng mga pang-aabuso, ang isang boses ay maaaring maging isang tanglaw para sa pagbabago.

โ€ŽThe candidates for the Laboratory High School Student Body Organization (LHS SBO) participated in the grand rally and elections on August 06, 2025.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽThis year, the Participate, Belong, Bond, and Collaborate (PBB Collab) party, led by their SBO-Mayor candidate Jen Micah De Vera, is the lone complete party. PBB Collab aims to not only promote individual growth, but also collective development through group activities, encouraging everyone to share their thoughts, fostering belonging, and strengthening relationships among LHSians. As for independent candidate Franz Sermonia for the peace officer position, she confidently shared her vision for improving safety and support within the school, expressing her willingness to serve the LHS community.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽThe highly anticipated debate between candidates. The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) allotted candidates 2 minutes to prepare their responses and 3 minutes to voice their answers. The participants in the debate included running for Mayor Jen Micah De Vera, Vice Mayor Eunice Orencia, Secretary Dyann Mabalot, Auditor Janayah Refuerzo, and Peace Officer Olympia Ballesil from the PBB Collab party.

โ€ŽThe grand rally began at 1:00 PM, organized by the COMELEC. After presenting the election guidelines, the PBB Collab party and Sermonia introduced themselves and shared their platforms.

โ€ŽAfter the rally, LHSians returned to their respective precincts and cast their votes, with ballots in hand and hopes for a better school year ahead.

In view of the LGUs' declaration of class suspension, there will be NO CLASSES at DMMMSU in all levels on Friday, July 18, 2025.

The Laboratory High School welcomed new and returning students as they stepped onto campus for their first day of school on July 7, 2025.

New students mingled with different faces as excitement filled the air, as some looked around nervously, trying to find their assigned rooms, while others smiled brightly as they reunited with friends they hadnโ€™t seen all summer.

Guided by their teachers and with support from one another, the LHS community is ready to face the upcoming challengesโ€”together.

The Laboratory High School (LHS) held its Brigada Eskwela 2025 on July 3 with the help of faculty, staff, students, and parents to prepare the school for the opening of classes on July 7, with the theme "Brigada Eskwela: Sama-sama Para sa Bayang Bumabasa."

โ€ŽVolunteers took an active role in the event and engaged in various activities: cleaning school hallways and classrooms, repairing old furniture, and helping improve the overall condition of the school.

โ€ŽWith brooms, mops, perseverance, and dedication, participants could ensure that LHS would be a clean, safe, and welcoming learning environment for students for the upcoming S.Y 2025-2026.
