Sumunod si Janayah Allure Refuerzo na nagkamit ng 2nd Place sa Pagkuha ng Larawang Pampahayagan, habang nakasungkit din ng 2nd Place sina Viperrose Krizia Sobredo sa Pagsulat ng Balitang Agham at Teknolohiya at Moira Aquino sa Kartung Editoryal.

Nakamit naman ang 5th Place nina Angel Margarett Mirando sa Pagsulat ng Pangulong Tudling at Zarren Allaina Bernardine Cruz sa Pagsulat ng Lathalain.

โ€ŽTanging ang mga nagkamit ng 1st hanggang 3rd place sa individual categories at unang puwesto sa group categories ang magtutuloy sa Division School Press Conference. Aabot sa 51 delegado ang lumahok para sa LHS ngayong taon. Hindi inanunsyo ang resulta sa sports writing dahil sa mga teknikal na isyu.

โ€ŽThe program featured welcome and opening messages from Dr. Rosebelita Regacho, and Dr. Adela Libunao who emphasized the role of responsible journalism. Participants were also presented by Moises Oliveros and the Journalistsโ€™ Creed was led by Mecy Alexis Baltazar.

โ€ŽThe occasion further unfolded with Nora Villanueva introducing the general guidelines followed by the participants proceeding to their respective categoriesโ€™ room.

โ€ŽAng Araw ni Bonifacio ay hindi lamang isang paggunita sa isang bayaning nakaukit sa kasaysayan, ito'y isang malakas na panawagan na umaalingawngaw sa bawat henerasyon. Ito'y isang anyaya upang kumonekta sa tapang at walang alinlangang paniniwala ni Andres Bonifacio, hindi lamang bilang isang tanyag na pigura, kundi bilang isang salamin na nagpapakita na ang bawat isa ay makagagawa ng malaking pagbabago.

โ€ŽMadalas natin siyang makita sa mga libro at mga monumentoโ€”matapang at tila handang sumugod anumang oras sa laban. Ngunit sa likod ng imaheng iyon, siya ay isang karaniwang mamamayan na may naglalagablab na apoy sa damdamin, isang apoy na nag-ugat sa kaniyang pagmamahal sa bayan at pananalig na ang bawat Pilipino ay karapat-dapat sa kalayaan.

โ€ŽHindi siya isinilang na lider, ngunit naging pinuno dahil sa kanyang tapang at paninindigan. Ang kanyang kuwento ay isang inspirasyon na kahit ano ang kalagayan, dukha man o mayaman, maaaring magsimula ang pagbabago sa isang taong may matibay na paniniwala.

โ€ŽSa gitna ng mga naglalagablab na talakayan sa senado hinggil sa mga hindi maaninag na mga proyekto at iba pang katiwalian sa ating gobyerno, ang tanging napag-iiwanan ay ang mga mamamayang walang kapangyarihan at walang kakayahang ipaglaban ang kanilang karapatan. Ang pinakamasaklap pa rito, marami ang nawalan ng ari-arian, kabuhayan, at mga mahal sa buhay sa mga nagdaang kalamidad sanhi ng kawalan ng panangga laban sa baha. Sa ganitong panahon, kailangan nating maging matapang at suungin ang hamon upang maisiwalat ang katotohanan at makamtan ang katarungan.

โ€ŽAng Araw ni Bonifacio ay hindi dapat maging isang simpleng pag-alala lamang. Ito ay dapat maging isang araw na nagsisilbing paalala na ang laban para sa makatarungan at makataong lipunan ay araw-araw. Kayaโ€™t magsilbi itong inspirasyon sa atin upang tayoโ€™y kumilos nang may pagkakaisa, maglingkod nang may malasakit, at magtagumpay sa ating mga mithiin para sa bayan.

โ€ŽSa bawat Pilipino na nagsusulong ng kabutihan, naroroon ang diwa ni Bonifacioโ€”ang diwang hindi sumusuko, ang diwang nagsusulong ng pagbabago at nagtataguyod ng katarungan. Nagsisimula ang tunay na paglaya sa ating puso at gawa, at ngayon ang tamang panahon upang ipakita ang ating tapang, ipaglaban ang tama, at maging bahagi ng pagbabago.

โ€ŽNatrisha Linel B. Veloria of the College of Community Health and Medical Allied Sciences (CCHAMS) of DMMMSUโ€“SLUC ranked 10th nationwide with a rating of 92.00% in the November 2025 Nurses Licensure Examination (NLE).

โ€ŽVeloria is an alumna of Laboratory High School (LHS). She was under Batch 2020-2021.

โ€ŽBesides Veloria, Kurt Simon T. Ramirez, placed fifth nationwide with a rating of 93.00%, and Melanie Joy M. Dacanay, who also got a 92.00% rate ranking 10th with Veloria.

โ€Ž205 out of 218 examinees from DMMMSU passed the NLE, achieving a passing rate of 94.04% surpassing the national passing rate of 90.05%.

โ€ŽAs the first week of November unfurls in the Philippines, Undas, a deeply rooted Filipino tradition encompassing All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day is observed. During this period, Filipinos come together to honour their deceased loved ones through a blend of indigenous practices and religious beliefs.

โ€ŽCemeteries, usually characterized as a quiet resting place for our departed love ones, bloom into hubs of memory. This is the unparalleled scene of Undas, where the line between the living and the dead blurs thinner than a thread.

โ€ŽFamilies visit cemeteries to clean tombs, to offer flowers, to light candles, and to share meals, turning graveyards into gathering places filled with memories and stories. It also fosters unity of a community as neighbours share their food, children play gently beside tombstones, and priests hold a mass amid the cemetery rows.

โ€ŽMoreover, in a country grappling with urban migration and fast-paced modernization, Undas serves as our time to pause. It pulls family members who works far away back home for a quiet reflection, prompts city dwellers to visit provincial graves, and it also reminds everyone that legacy is not about wealth โ€” it is about the stories we passed down over a "plate of kakanin" beside a candlelit tomb.

โ€ŽUndas is not just about remembering our deceased loved ones, it is also a living ritual. A ritual where grief turns into connection, a ritual that bridges generational gaps, and a ritual that proves that love lasts more than a lifetime. โ€ŽA 4.8 magnitude earthquake strucks parts of Central Luzon at around 10:30 AM today, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS). The epicenter of the earthquake was 2km northeast of Pugo, La Union.
