Out of all the participants in the entire Pangasinan 1, Enrique Vinluan bagged the 3rd place in Copyreading and Headline Writing Secondary English during the DSPC 2024 at Pangasinan National HS making the scribe qualified to the upcoming 2024 Regional Schools Press Conference (RSPC) in Ilocos Sur.

On March 2023, Vinluan placed 7th during the 2023 DSPC in Calasiao, Pangasinan in the same category.

WHAT'S IN:
Aguilar IS kicks off National Reading Month

Aguilar Integrated School (AIS) welcomed the 2023 'Buwan at Araw ng Pagbasa' with the theme 'PAGBASA: Pag-asa sa Matatag na Kinabukasan' on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at 7:45 AM.

Students from Grades five, nine, 10, and all the Senior High School (SHS) students joined the launching of the said celebration.

"... (The National Reading Month) aims to enhance understanding in reading and literacy, including critical understanding...," said Mrs. Conie F. Riva, Grade 11 teacher, and master of ceremony of the event.

According to the school principal, Mrs. Grace V. Mabitazan, everyone should learn how to read so they can survive in their everyday lives and be able to nurture their skills and talents in seeking for jobs in the future.

"Kailangang matuto magbasa para mabuhay nang maayos," Mabitazan stressed.

The program concluded through having an interactive short activity where in the students listened and answered questions based on the stories told by the mystery readers, Eubelle De Guzman and Ailene Amaro, which provided joy and learnings to the audience.

Riva encouraged the students to participate in different contests that will showcase their talents and skills as a celebration of the reading month.
