ππ’π’π | The Pinning and Candle Lighting Ceremony was held at the VSUA Gymnasium on September 04, 2026, to officially recognize qualified education students from the BEED and BSEd programs in Science and Math as teaching interns.
Mr. Erik Terora, an alumnus of VSUA, the guest speaker of the ceremony, shared a meaningful message that he wanted all interns to carry with them: the PINNING, which stands for Passion for teaching, Integrity in service, Nurturing every learner, Never give up, Inspiring young minds, Navigating challenges with courage, and Growing into a great educator.
βDo not simply enter the classroom because you are required to complete your teaching internship, but because you have purposeβ¦ and let your passion remind you that you are not simply preparing lessons; you are preparing possibilities,β Mr. Terora said.
This was followed by the candle lighting, pinning rites, oath-taking, the batch message from Mr. Carl Jhon Abala, a BSEd Math student, and the senior class song.
