𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗧𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆’𝘀 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗻, 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗼𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗼𝘄’𝘀 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 📚👶

Romblon National Institute of Technology (RNIT), TESDA, and the Local Government Unit of Alcantara strengthened their commitment to early childhood development through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement for the Early Childhood Care and Development Services (ECCDS) NC III program. Mayor Dr. Riza Galicia G. Pamorada of the Municipality of Alcantara described the partnership as a blessing not only for the people of Alcantara but for all Romblomanons, as it seeks to empower Child Development Workers (CDWs) with the competencies needed to nurture and guide the province’s youngest learners. The initiative reflects RNIT’s continuing mission to support future generations by investing in those who play a vital role in shaping children's health, well-being, learning, and development during their formative years.

In his message, TESDA Regional Director Baron Jose L. Lagran, CESE, emphasized that ECCDS NC III serves as an “insurance” for every child by ensuring that Child Development Workers are equipped with the skills, knowledge, and values necessary to provide quality care and protection. He underscored TESDA’s belief that every child deserves to be nurtured physically, mentally, and emotionally in order to grow into responsible and productive citizens of the Philippines. Meanwhile, TESDA Romblon Provincial Director Atty. Glenn Niño M. Sartillo highlighted how fortunate Alcantara is to have leaders who prioritize education and skills development, citing the strong support of Mayor Pamorada, the local legislative council, and RNIT Vocational School Administrator II Anna Christina C. Martinez in making the program a reality. He reminded the participants that while the signed agreement may appear to be just a piece of paper, it carries a profound responsibility and a shared commitment to nation building. Through the dedication of Child Development Workers, the hands that nurture young minds and help build the nation, RNIT and its partners continue to serve as catalysts for community development, proving that by investing in children today, we are securing a brighter future for tomorrow.

🧱✨ 𝗕𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘁 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝗕𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗸, 𝗕𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘁 𝗣𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗽 ✨🧱

A meaningful milestone unfolded at the Romblon District Jail as Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) proudly received their certificates after completing the Masonry NC II training program. Welcomed by Acting District Jail Warden JSINSP Emely B Mallen, the ceremony highlighted the transformative power of technical-vocational education in creating pathways toward personal growth and future opportunities. For the graduates, the training represented more than the acquisition of technical skills—it marked the beginning of a journey toward rebuilding their lives. As one graduate reflected, every hollow block they laid during the training symbolized their determination to rebuild themselves, proving that just as a structure is built one block at a time, a better future can also be built through perseverance, discipline, and hope. Through the partnership between TESDA and the Romblon District Jail, the graduates gained valuable skills that can help them secure employment and livelihood opportunities upon their release.

In his message, TESDA Regional Director Baron Jose L. Lagran reminded the graduates that life does not end within the walls of the jail and that a brighter tomorrow remains within reach. He emphasized that regardless of past mistakes, there is always hope, always an opportunity to learn, and always a chance to begin anew. He encouraged the graduates to continue developing their skills and preparing for the opportunities that await them beyond incarceration. In his closing remarks, TESDA Romblon Provincial Director Atty. Glenn Niño M. Sartillo delivered a powerful message, noting that beneath the black graduation togas were yellow uniforms that served as a reminder that hope remains alive and that their stories are still being written. As the graduates joined together in singing “Hawak Kamay”, the ceremony became a moving testament to resilience, redemption, and second chances. More than a graduation, it was a celebration of renewed purpose—a reminder that with skills, determination, and hope, every individual has the opportunity to build a new tomorrow.

⚡𝗧𝗘𝗦𝗗𝗔 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗢𝗠𝗘𝗟𝗖𝗢: 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲⚡

The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) and Romblon Electric Cooperative, Inc. (ROMELCO) formally strengthened their partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the Enterprise-Based Education and Training (EBET) Program in Electrical Installation and Maintenance (EIM) NC II. Led by ROMELCO General Manager Rene M. Fajilagutan and Board President Paul Johann R. Maestre, the initiative aims to provide trainees with industry-based learning experiences that combine classroom instruction with actual workplace training. More importantly, the partnership lays the foundation for developing a highly skilled workforce that can support Romblon’s growing energy sector and emerging renewable energy initiatives. As the electric cooperative serving the province’s five island municipalities, ROMELCO continues to play a vital role in ensuring reliable and sustainable energy services while creating opportunities for local workers to gain nationally recognized skills and certifications.

In his welcome remarks, General Manager Fajilagutan emphasized that ROMELCO is not only an electric cooperative but also a partner in education and workforce development. He highlighted the cooperative’s pioneering efforts in renewable energy, including being the first electric cooperative to deploy Lithium-Ion Solar Hybrid Systems to help address rising diesel costs, as well as its continued investments in solar farms and hydroelectric power generation. He also underscored the need to prepare a future-ready workforce capable of supporting these innovations through training in technologies such as Photovoltaic (PV) Installation and Maintenance. TESDA Romblon Provincial Director Atty. Glenn Niño M. Sartillo echoed the importance of collaboration, sharing TESDA’s guiding principle, “Basta sama-sama, sa TESDA, Kayang-kaya.” Meanwhile, the TESDA Regional Director Baron Jose L. Lagran emphasized that electric cooperatives are the backbone of community development and that industries increasingly seek certified and competent workers. This program marks only the beginning of a broader partnership between TESDA and ROMELCO, opening doors to future training programs that will equip Romblomanons with the skills needed to drive the province’s transition toward a more sustainable and renewable energy-powered future.

Romblon National Institute of Technology (RNIT), together with Technical Vocational Institutions (TVIs) in the province of Romblon, participated in the online orientation on the Microcredential Program and Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) Writing spearheaded by the Qualification Standards Office (QSO) of TESDA. The activity featured discussions from Mr. Joseph Cyrus P. Santalisis and Mr. Rosendo R. Rafael, Senior TESD Specialists, who provided insights on the implementation of microcredentialing and the development of competency-based curricula aligned with industry standards and emerging workforce demands.

The participants were warmly welcomed by Atty. Glenn Niño M. Sartillo, Director III and Provincial Director of TESDA Romblon, who emphasized the importance of strengthening curriculum development and advancing innovative learning pathways for learners and trainees. The orientation served as an opportunity for TVIs to enhance their understanding of flexible and industry-responsive education and training programs in support of quality technical vocational education and training in the province.
