๐๐๐๐| CET Kicks Off Tech Expo 2025
Anchored on the theme โInnovate, Integrate, Inspire,โ the College of Engineering and Technology (CET) officially launched the Tech Expo 2025 on December 16, 2025, at the IFSU Gymnasium.
Ms. Jocelyn Tapo-Salviejo, Campus Executive Director, welcomed participants, expressing her hope that the initiative would inspire continuous exploration, deepen research engagement, and further strengthen the campusโ identity as a center of innovation and academic distinction.
Mr. Marvin Mayormente, Chairperson of the Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering program, delivered the statement of purpose, highlighting the vital role of technology and the growing impact of computer engineering in shaping smart systems, intelligent infrastructure, and people-centered technologies.
University President Dr. Eva Marie Codamon-Dugyon delivered an inspirational message, commending the collective efforts behind the event. She emphasized that when vision, collaboration, and commitment converge, excellence follows, and encouraged the Tech Expo to ignite new ideas, strengthen partnerships, and reaffirm the shared responsibility of the academic community to build a better, smarter, and more sustainable future.
Stakeholders and partners from various agencies also expressed their support, including Dr. Marissa Bulong, Vice President for Research, Development, Extension, and Training (RDET) of IFSU, Ms. Mylene Longid of DepEd Alfonso Lista, and Hon. Tyrel Taganas of the Local Government Unit of Alfonso Lista.
The highlight of the event was the official Tech Expo kick-off, which featured the ribbon-cutting ceremony, exhibit opening, and inauguration of CET systems. This was followed by an exhibit tour, student research and project presentations, the launching of CET Pathways, a forum, and a ceremonial Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing.
Tech Expo 2025 concluded with the awarding of winners and closing remarks. Beyond showcasing innovation, the event embodied integration and inspiration, encouraging students to design and develop people-centered technologies that are sustainable and beneficial for future generations.
