Bojo River 😍😍😍 one of Aloguinsan’s best!🥰🥰🥰
Among the many beautiful places in Cebu, Governor Pam Baricuatro chose Bojo River in Aloguinsan to represent the province for the 23rd East Asia Inter-Regional Tourism Federation (EATOF) Technical Tour. This tour brings together tourism officials from across Asia to learn from one another and discover meaningful models of tourism. The Governor’s choice reflects her belief that true tourism success is not just about what looks grand, but about what uplifts people, protects the environment, and proudly shares our local identity. Bojo River is not only rich in natural beauty, it is internationally recognized as one of the Top 100 Sustainable Destinations and was honored with the Green Destinations Story Award in Berlin, supported by the United Nations World Tourism Organization. But beyond the awards, what makes Bojo special is the community behind it. The Bojo Aloguinsan Ecotourism Association, or BAETAS, composed of dedicated men and women from Barangay Bojo, has led the way in managing the tours, caring for the river, and preserving both the environment and local culture. Their success is a product of partnership and shared vision, strongly supported by Aloguinsan’s Mayor, Vice Mayor, Sangguniang Bayan, and tourism officers who stood behind the community from the beginning. Salamat, Governor Pam, for showing us that world-class tourism does not have to mean big resorts or fancy beaches. Sometimes, it is found in a quiet river, a united community, and the heart of the people who call it home. Welcome, EATOF delegates. May your visit to Bojo tomorrow leave you inspired by what local, sustainable tourism can truly look like.
