Sulit bang Magcharge sa Paid Charging Station vs Charging at Home?

We’ll for my POV, i would rather charge at home using a slower charger since i have the means to charge at home.

Meralco Rate Home Slow Charge - P14.00 per Kilowatt
AC Mobility Fast Charger - P35 per Kilowatt

VF3’s Battery capacity is only 18kwh

Thus,

Estimated cost are:

Meralco - P14 x 18kwh = P252
Ac Mobility - P35 x 18kwh = P630

And thats rated for almost 200KM Range

Clearly, tipid kung home charging ka! Lalo na kung naka solar ka pa.

But i rarely charge at home, i do take advantage of the Free Charging Station of Vinfast.

I dont mind waiting since i can work on my laptop while charging!

Though these Paid Charging Stations are Life Savers specially when driving away from your usual daily drive. They are very important to further advance the EV industry.

REAL TALK - Range Anxiety? NOT Really! What Im Concerned of is the Reliability of the Charging Station. That is my real problem.

2nd Charging Stop CB Mall Urdaneta Pangasinan! My VF3 (Full EV) Going to Baguio.

Like Yesterday while me and my wife were planning for this trip, this Charging Station suddenly dissappeared from EVRO App( App used for charging EV).

Status indicated that this station is Offline. What if we are already on our trip and we thought everythings perfect! Then suddenly, pagdating dito bigla nalang Offline? OmG! As in OMG talaga!

So basically hindi lang yung trip/distance and charging station ang need mo planuhin. You are required to have Plan B & C. If something fails at least you are prepared and know what to do. So ako, i always bring my portable dc charger with the extension with ground. Para if ever man, punta ako sa pulis or baranggay or even makikikatok sa may bahay at kakapalan ang muka para humingi ng tulong at makicharge. Magbabayad nalang po ako.

So you see, hindi lahat maganda with full EV. Maybe pang city driving lang talaga sya recommendable because our charging infrastracture is still in its infancy period. But im hoping for the time na mas dumami pa ang charging station and station that could cater to all types of charging ports.

May mga nagtatanong po sa akin kung ano ang Comment ako about Atome daw not being registered with SEC.

Ito po masasabi ko, may mga bad actors po talaga na gagamitin ang pangalan ng iba para mabudol ang mga customers na sa kanila manghiram. In this case, ginamit nilang name ang “Atome” at dinikitan pa ng ibang words. But sa totoo lang kalakaran na ng nga bad actors yan. May Mabilis Tala Cash, Tala Peso, Tala Credit etc.

So magingat po kayo sa mga ganitong loan apps, hindi lang predatory interest, hindi pa sure kung ligtas kayo sa identity theft. Note! Nagbibigay kayo ng picture nio and ID.

Going 1 Month - My VF3 EV Experience! Sulit Nga ba Talaga?

Well bakit nga ba ako bumili or umutang ng bagong kotse? Para ba Makatipid?

If im doing the math, ang monthly ko dito ay nasa P12,200 through my Credit Card(Thanks to Eastwest). Before the the US-Iran war, our monthly gas is around P8K at gas price of P65 per liter

P8K / 65 = 123 Liters (Pre-War)

If im going to use the current gas price now Mar 24 its P104 per liter

So,

123 liters x P104 = P12,792

Since the Gas is a monthly recurring expense then dapat nasa around P13K na ang nakabudget ko monthly.

In this case spending 13K a month is almost same as paying my monthly amortization with this car!

Eh syempre mag chacharge ka pa sa bahay tulad ng ginagawa mo ngayun?!

Oo tama kayo, nagchacharge ako kasi ng below 20% na charge ko, nung dumaan ako sa charging station sa casa, puno sila kaya sabi ko sa bahay nalang ako.

Sa 210km range balak ko lang ipaabot ulit ng 20% or nasa 42km range and then bukas na ako babalik ng casa (since along the way ko naman sya) para mag charge ng LIBRE. Sa 42km na dagdag nasa around P50 lang sya.

Take note sinabi ko LIBRE! Oo Libre ang CHARGING NG VF3 ko until MARCH 1, 2029 sa Charging station ng Vinfast. Hindi ko masyadong iisipin yung taas presyo ng kuryente ngayun!

So isipin mo un ung pang gas ko ngayun pang bayad na ng bagong auto ko?

BUT WAIT! For sure hindi naman 5 years itatagal ng Gyera dba? So more or less babalik din yan sa around P60-70 level. (I hope so)

If that happens, sa P12,200 kong monthly minus maybe P9k for the adjusted price ng gas after the war, im left with additional P3.2k so technically hindi sya talaga tipid.

Idagdag monpa ang battery subscription na P1600 a month!

So for around additional P5K, here’s my justification of what im paying for pag natapos na ang oil crisis:

- no coding
- di ko na kailangan magtipid sa biyahe, aircon habang naghihintay ang mga kids from school since ibaiba ang oras ng uwian nila.
- no need to commute for small errands
- i dont have to mind the battery health
- convenience
- bagong kotse
- can even use it for long drive(you just need to plan your route) i did marikina to Anda Pangasinan and it was a success

Yeah maybe after oil crisis hindi na sya tipid but isipin mo yun P5k lang may bagong auto na ako?
