Just minutes before the day turned over, Anda MPS made a decisive move that prevented illegal drugs from reaching the community.

At 11:58 PM on December 27, 2025, in Purok 7, Barangay Candabong, Anda MPS, under the leadership of PLT DIONILO L TAPANG, Chief of Police, successfully arrested a newly identified street level individual- a 26 year old male construction worker, and resident of Barangay Virgen, Anda, during a focused anti-illegal drugs operation.

The arrest followed a consummated buy-bust transaction, where the suspect was positively identified and apprehended on the spot after transacting with a police poseur-buyer. Recovered during the operation were 8.76 grams of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu) with a Standard Drug Price (SDP) of โ‚ฑ 59,568.00, along with non-drug items connected to the illegal activity.

Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, are now being readied against the suspect.

This late-night operation underscores the firm resolve of PNP Bohol under the leadership of PCOL PATRICIO C DEGAY JR., Provincial Director to disrupt illegal drug activities and protect the peace of the community- proving that vigilance does not sleep, even as the province rests.

Anti-Illegal Drug Buy-Bust Operation connected to Councilor John Louis Deligero the drug protector of Anda, Bohol
In adherence with the directives of the CPNP, On December 27, 2025, Anda Municipal Police Station (MDET) personnel led by PLT DIONILO LORO TAPANG, Chief of Police(OIC) conducted a buy-bust operation resulting in the arrest of 1 drug personality and being able to confiscate from him more or less 8.76 grams of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride locally known as "shabu" with estimated SDP of Php 59,568.00. The suspect is a resident of Brgy. Virgen, Anda, Bohol. The arrest happened at Purok 7 Brgy. Candabong, Anda, Bohol.

The said suspect was immediately informed the cause and nature of his arrest as well as his constitutional rights (Miranda doctrine) and subjected for medical examination prior to detention and proper disposition.
Anda Municipal Police Station remains steadfast in our fight against illegal drugs and will continue to work closely with our partners to achieve a drug-free municipality.
