Students from Grades 7 to 12 brought life to the campus with their Pista sa Nayon booths in celebration of the school’s 58th Founding Anniversary.

‎Each grade level showcased colorful, Filipino-inspired booths filled with native delicacies, while students shared their creations with teachers, classmates, and guests. Cultural performances added energy and highlighted traditional dances and songs.

‎The booths were evaluated by a panel of judges. They assessed the entries based on creativity, presentation, authenticity, and overall impact.

Malamlam ang kalangitan, wari’y ayaw nang magising ng araw. Ang ulan ay hindi na lamang basta bumabagsak; ito’y kumakatok nang mariin sa mga bubong, umaagos sa mga lansangan, at tahimik na pumapasok sa mga tahanang walang kalaban-laban.

Sa Eastern Visayas, ang shear line, na dati’y isang terminong naririnig lamang sa mga ulat-panahon, ay ngayo’y nagdadala ng takot sa bawat magdamag, isang malinaw na paalala na ang kalikasang matagal nating binalewala ay marunong ding maningil.

Dahil sa pagbabago ng klima, mas tumitindi ang buhos ng ulan tuwing tag-ulan at mas nagiging matindi ang init tuwing tag-init. Dumadalas at lumalakas ang mga bagyo, at ang dating normal na daloy ng panahon ay tila wala na sa hulog. Sa bawat patak ng ulan ay kaakibat ang pangamba; sa bawat unos ay may banta sa buhay at kabuhayan.

Sa pagpasok ng taglamig at taong 2026, tulad ng makapal na niyebeng bumabalot sa Japan, makapal na putik naman ang bumalot sa ilang bahagi ng Eastern Visayas. Bunga ito ng pagguho ng lupa at rumaragasang baha na sumalubong sa mga pamayanang matagal nang natatablan sa sakuna.

Suspendido ang klase at trabaho, ilang bayan ang nawalan ng kuryente, at maraming komunidad ang lubog sa tubig, isang reyalidad na paulit-ulit nang nararanasan ng mga Pilipino tuwing may matinding sama ng panahon.

Ngunit sa kabila ng hagupit ng kalikasan, hindi lamang ito ang dapat sisihin. Tumingin tayo sa ating kapaligiran. Ang unti-unting pagkakalbo ng Sierra Madre, ang pagputol ng daan-daang puno sa mga proyektong pang-imprastraktura, at ang patuloy na kawalan ng disiplina sa wastong pagtatapon ng basura ay ilan lamang sa mga ambag ng tao sa lumalalang sakuna.

Sa bawat estero na nababarahan at kabundukang ginugunaw ng kasakiman, lalo nating pinapalala ang panganib na dulot ng panahong dati’y kaya pa nating lampasan.

Habang nagpapatuloy ang mga gawaing sumisira sa kalikasan, asahan nating patuloy din ang paniningil nito, higit pa sa ating inaakala.

Kung mananatili tayong tahimik at walang pakialam, ang susunod na henerasyon ang magdurusa, mas malala kaysa sa ating nararanasan at nasasaksihan.

Ngayon ang panahon para kumilos; hindi mamaya at lalong hindi bukas. Sapagkat kung hindi ngayon, kailan pa? Kapag wala na bang punong natitira? Kapag mistula nang dagat o disyerto ang buong bansa?

Panahon na upang seryosohin ang wastong pamamahala ng basura at ang mga programang pangkalikasan gaya ng tree planting; mga inisyatibong matagal nang ipinapatupad ngunit madalas ay hindi nabibigyan ng sapat na pagpapahalaga.

Ang climate change at ang mga epekto nito ay hindi problemang dapat ipamana. Isa itong krisis na kailangang harapin ngayon at bigyang-tugon nang tuluy-tuloy. Sapagkat kung patuloy nating aabusuhin ang kalikasan, hindi na lamang lupa ang guguho, pati ang kinabukasan ng mga susunod pang henerasyon.

Athletes Shine in ISPAA 2025

Angadanan National High School athletes delivered strong performances in the recently concluded Isabela Provincial Athletic Association (ISPAA) 2025 held in Quirino, Isabela, bringing home multiple medals across major sporting events.

In Baseball, the ANHS team clinched a Silver Medal, earning a spot as two-time CAVRAA qualifiers. The team was mentored by Coach Deo Dennis Alcause and Coach Romel Canceran.

The Softball team also made their mark, securing the Bronze Medal under the leadership of Coach Jerson Coloma and Assistant Coach Divina Manugay.

ANHS dominated the Wushu Sanda category with a powerful medal sweep.

*Evan Jay Balauag – Gold
*Anthony M. Fronton – Gold
*Djian Neil Ebuán – Silver
Coached by Julie Ann Ricardo, the trio displayed superior skill and discipline that outshone their competitors.

Jericho Tamani got silver

In Arnis, ANHS added two more medals to its tally:

*Joshua M. Matias – Bronze
*Novielyn Quilang – Bronze under the mentorship of Coach Jolan S. Tadeo.

Meanwhile, the Sepak takraw team may not have secured a podium finish, but their sportsmanship, and unwavering effort throughout the competition, remains a proud moment for ANHS as they continue to develop their skills for future tournaments.

Please be informed that there will be NO face-to-face classes tomorrow, Novemnber 28, Friday at Angadanan National High School due to the scheduled In-Service Training of Teachers at the ANHS Gymnasium.

In line with this, Alternative Delivery Mode (ADM) will be implemented.

Nakikiusap po ang ating Local Government Unit of Angadanan at ang ating MDRRMO na mag-ingat at maging handa, lalo na sa mga barangay na nasa tabi ng creek at ilog.
