ICYMI: Angelenean lands Top 1 at the RTLE December 2023.

Angeles University Foundation alumna, Sophia Vien Dela Cruz Pereda places first overall in the 2023 RadTech Licensure Examination. Her achievement is a record-breaking performance with 91.40% rating and has proven that the institution is indeed home of the top notchers.

In addition, 26 more alumni passed the examination. They soared high as they proved that Angeleneans embodies the core value Magaling. The university made an impeccable 90.00% overall passing rate, surpassing the 80.00% national passing rate. Truly, both the students and university’s dedication testifies to the exceptional medical program.

BSP expounds on holiday scam; officers on Giant Lantern Festival safety— Kapihan

SAN FERNANDO, PAMPANGA — Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) demonstrates red flags to look for in bills, especially during the holiday season. Aside from this, the Giant Lantern Festival (GLF) Committee talks about the physical arrangement, security, and traffic for said festival. Kapihan at Balitaan sa Pampanga paved the way for said press conferences.

Organized by CLTV36 and the KBP Pampanga Chapter, Bank Officer IV of the BSP San Fernando Ma. Lourdes Laconsay opened the Kapihan with a short talk on holiday scams. During the press conference, she also educated the participants about ways to determine whether a bill is fake. Laconsay also underscored several clarifications, including folded polymer bills, which can still be circulated and accepted for payment.

For the second batch of guest speakers, the following officers are introduced to discuss the Giant Lantern Festival: Engr. Alvin Mendoza (Vice Chairperson, GLF 2023 Executive Committee), Raymond del Rosario (Incident Commander of the City of San Fernando), and Louie Clemente (City Public Order and Safety Coordinating Office [CPOSCO] Chief, City of San Fernando).

In light of the 115th Giant Lantern Festival looming near, precisely on December 16 with 10 participating villages, said esteemed speakers answered questions from the participants regarding the festival’s safety procedures, physical arrangement, and traffic routing.

The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas of the City of San Fernando opened its Multi-Purpose Hall for the press conference.

ICYMI — Angeles University Foundation ranks 7th in the recent December 2023 Physical Therapists Licensure Examination. With a passing rate of 84.31%, 43 Angeleneans continue to soar high in the field of allied medical professions.

This achievement further establishes the university as one of the leading medical schools in the country, producing licensed physical therapists that embodies the institution's core values — mabuti, magaling, at may malasakit sa kapwa.

AUF ranks 1st in the Top Performing Schools in the Philippines

Angeles University Foundation is one of the 17 universities that ranked 1st in the recent November 2023 Philippine Nurses Licensure Examination. The national passing rate for the examination was 85%, with 50 or more examinees.

The batch Sinlag raised the bar among all institutions with their exceptional 100% passing record. With 193 students, the Angeleneans once again proved that the university’s medical program is outstanding.

This accomplishment reflects the institution's standing as one of the top medical schools in the nation, offering a Class-A curriculum that produces highly qualified nurses.

Speakers are Ms. Nariza Marjorie Paez of PhilHealth Region 3's ITMS and PMaj Evangeline Geminiano of Regional Anti-Cyber Crime Unit.

ANGELENEANS REPRESENT — students from the College of Arts and Sciences present at this year’s Communication Research International Conference

Philiph John Gulmayo and Mary Nicole Carreon of the Department of Communication presented their academic paper at said conference with the theme “MediAgenda: The Mediatization of Communication in Asia.”

On November 17th, Gulmayo and Carreon presented their undergraduate thesis entitled “Nagbabahay-bahayan lang kayo: Navigating the Struggles of Gay Relationships in In My Life (2009), The Third Party (2016), and Gameboys: The Movie (2021), where they shed light on the realities and intricacies of gay relationships through q***r Filipino films and how it can be navigated through compassion, proper communication, and self-acceptance.

The two-day international conference is an initiative by the University of the Philippines Diliman and was graced by representatives of local and international universities.

ICYMI: AUF bags 3rd in ranking of Best-Performing Schools in the Philippines

Angeles University Foundation ranked the third best-performing institution in the Philippines in the recent October 2023 Physician Licensure Examination. Garnering a remarkable overall passing rate of 96.30%, securing its position among the leading schools nationwide.

The national passing rate for the examination was 63.24%, resulting in AUF’s performance being higher than the national average. Angelenean’s outstanding performance highlights the commitment and excellence of the faculty and students in the medical program.

This notable achievement strengthens the university’s reputation for offering quality education and commitment to producing competent and highly skilled medical professionals as one of the leading educational institutions in the field of medicine in the country.

ICYMI: AUF Comm student pioneers as first president-elect of PAMCOMM

Second year AB Communication student Shauntal Ryne Claudio is set to pioneer as president-elect of the Pampanga Association of Communication Students or PAMCOMM. Meanwhile, PAMCOMM also appointed Frances Cyrille Bingcang a third year AB Communication as one of the junior officers.

Bright FM spearheaded the first-ever meeting of the students together with the other members of PAMCOMM. In line with this, Holy Angel University is the first university to host this gathering.

Furthermore, participating universities including Angeles University Foundation, Holy Angel University, Our Lady of Fatima University, Systems Plus College Foundation, and University of the Assumption evaluated the previous episodes of their newest radio segment Bright10Reloaded at the Bright FM, the Official Radio Station of the Archdiocese of San Fernando, Pampanga.

ICYMI: CCFP commences first installment of Miaduangan: localized Basic Ecclesial Communities program of AUF

To carry on the objective of the seminar, resource speakers Mr. Abelardo Garcia Jr., Program Coordinator for Basic Education, and Mr. Kelvin De Vero, both faculty members of the Center for Christian Formation and Praxis, share their Insights about the importance of Basic Ecclesial Communities in society.

Mr. Garcia tackled the historical context of the First Christian Communities and its parallelism to BEC in the Philippines. He stated that “BEC should not only be routinary but also a part of our culture” after emphasizing the importance of integrating its ideals into the daily lives of individuals.

On the other hand, Mr. De Vero shared his ongoing paper titled “Miaduangan: An Angelenean Interpretation of Basic Ecclesial Communities," focusing on the vital requirements that transform BEC principles into action and how it takes on a special form among the Angelenean community.

The program provided a meaningful message that upholds fostering the core components of BEC in one’s cultural and spiritual identity and in the context of educational institutions.

The first lecture of the Miaduangan Theological-Pastoral Lecture Series organized by the AUF Center for Christian Formation and Praxis was held on October 24 at the St. Cecilia’s Auditorium.

ICYMI: Angeles University Foundation Guidance and Counseling Center held its annual Mental Health Awareness Campaign

In light of Mental Health Awareness Month, the AUF Guidance and Counseling Center hosted a seminar with the theme “Mipanantabe: At AUF, Everyone is Involved.” The initiative aims to encourage Angeleneans to look after one another, raise awareness about Mental Health, and aid in ending the stigma surrounding this matter.

The seminar took place on the second floor of AUF Sports and Cultural Center from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM last Thursday.
