1 Timothy 4:12 (NIV):
"Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity."
This is one of the most well-known and encouraging verses in Paul’s letter to Timothy, especially for young people.
Timothy was relatively young for a leader in the early church (possibly in his 30s), and some may have questioned his authority or maturity.
Paul tells him: Don’t be discouraged or intimidated. Youth doesn’t disqualify you from leadership or spiritual influence.
True leadership is not about age, but about living in a way others can follow.
