My "Aha!" Moment with the Titans of Taste (Tokyo Tempura & Buffalo Wings N' Things!) 🍤🍗

You know that feeling when you're building something from the ground up, and you sometimes wonder if you're even pointing in the right direction? Yeah, that's been me lately with our photostudio.

Well, I recently had a chance to sit down (virtually!) and learn from two incredible Filipino business legends: Ms. Jenny Wieneke, the powerhouse behind our favorite Potato Corner and the delicious Tokyo Tempura, and Mr. Rommel Ng, the man who brought us the finger-licking goodness of Buffalo Wings N' Things! Talk about a masterclass! 🤩

Honestly, I went in expecting some high-level business jargon, but what struck me most was how down-to-earth and practical their advice was. One thing that really stuck with me? They both emphasized how crucial it is to figure out your business's heart and soul – your core values. It's like, what do you really stand for? What's your "why" beyond just making money?

And the other big "aha!" moment was all about getting crystal clear on who you're actually talking to. Imagine trying to sell a cozy sweater to someone who lives at the beach all year round! It just won't click. They stressed the importance of creating a picture in your mind of your ideal customer – what do they like, what do they need, what makes them tick? This "persona," as they called it, helps you make smarter decisions about everything, from your products to how you talk about them.

It was so inspiring to hear how these massive successes were built on such fundamental principles. It made me realize that no matter how big or small your business is right now, taking the time to define your core values and truly understand your audience is like setting a strong compass for your journey.

Feeling supercharged and ready to put these lessons into action! If you're a fellow dreamer building something amazing, trust me, get clear on your "why" and who you're building it for. It makes all the difference! ✨

Friend: Turuan mo nga ko pano kumita ng malaki.

Me: Sige. Ganito yung ginawa ko (blah blah blah).

F: Pwede ba yung hindi kailangan magsalita, hindi kailangan magbenta, hindi makakasagabal sa trabaho ko, hindi nakakastress? Walang masyadong gagawin. Parang stocks diba maglalagay ka lang ng pera? 🤗

Me: Wait, how much would you like to earn? 🤔

F: Mga 200k/month.

Me: Ah pwede naman yan. Do you have 50 million? Because every 25 million probably can give you an estimate of 100K dividends in stocks (not trading). Check Marvin Germo's content kung ayaw mo maniwala. 😄

F: Ang laki naman!😳

Me: Sabi mo walang ginagawa dapat e. Pwede buy property, pa-rent mo. Sa experience ko, 8 million condo, 35k monthtly rent. So need mo ng mga 6 condo. Total 48 million.

F: Ang laki grabe!

Me: Magkano ba ang naiisip mong investment?

F: 100k.👌

Me: Meron akong alam pero mamamatay ka muna para maging 1M or maaksidente ka or magkaron ka ng malubhang sakit. Okay lang?

F: Grabe naman. Hindi ganun.

Me: Wala pa kong kilala na naglagay ng 100k walang ginawa tapos kumita ng 200k/month. Kung meron man, sana legal yan. 😅

Friend, may mga option ang mga mayayaman na hindi available satin.

My point is, yung wala kang gagawin. That option is only available for those who already have big money for investment. ✅

Kung wala tayo nyan, magstart ka talaga muna with years of hardwork, consistency, & discipline -- at least 5 years.

Kasi kung pwede pala kumita ng ganyan kalaki ng walang ginagawa, lahat na ng tao mayaman na .💯

F: Ang pangit mong kabonding. Kainis ka. Hahaha 😂

Me: Realtalk lang ha, if you want to be lazy you have to afford to be lazy. You cannot be broke and be lazy at the same time. 💯

kapag wala pa tayong malaking pang-invest.

P.S. Para sa nagtatanong, pwede daw bang kumita ng 200k/mo na 100k capital? Oo naman! Pero sa negosyo, at may kasamang hardwork plus hindi po agad-agad. ✅

Bawal ang tamad. Bawal ang maarte. Bawal ang di kaya magsakripisyo. Bawal ang maraming dahilan at excuses. Ang pagnenegosyo, hindi yan para sa mga chill at hayahay sa buhay.
